what kind of maps do you want in the multiplayer?

    what kind of maps do you want in the multiplayer?

    i want these maps.

    -In a flooded station that collapsed and very dark.

    -In a very maze like station with a bunch of passages.

    -On the surface inside a building, like a church or mall or something.

    -In a tunnel with ghosts and ghosts kill you.

    -In Polis, very big and bright, with a lot of sniping spots

    -In the Reich, very dark but has a few lights.

    -In the library, dark, destroyed, with a number of floors.

    -Catacombs. A bunch of passages with a lot of close quarter spots.

    -Outside, next to a metro entrance building.

    -Maze like place that is pitch black. You can only see with your flashlight and you have to kill others in a dark setting.

    -etc.

    :) what do you guys think?

    those are good ideas but maybe there should be objectives like RUSH in battlefield 3 so if someone destroys the objectives in the tunnel you get pushed to the surface or deeper into the metro....i use a lot of other games in my posts for ideas sorry

    anyway there should be some dark maps some light/dim maps or maps on the surface or like i said above a combination of a bunch of maps but mostly i want a map thats inside a mutant cave were you have to battle the other team and mutants. and when i say cave i mean like the one you see at the end of the 13 min demo.

    thats my thoughts now lets hear yours!

    Hmm, close quarters would be nice, in the ruins (like at the end of the 12 minute gameplay trailer). Not too sure...

    von u shud sketch a small map? Like inside a station or on the surface. Then show it too us so that then Luster can show it to 4a and they can make it into a multiplayer map!! ahaha idk, but thatd be really cool tho

    I dont know about underwater combast but would be nice to have some levels which deteriorate after time.

    Like a map on a boat out on the sea and this boat would gradually sink over the course of time, and maybe even capsize(fall down on one side) forcing the players to climb higher and higher on the ship.

    OR

    Some sort of airplane in the air thats gradually falling apart.


    I know this would be hard to make and be script heavy, but it would be pretty awesome.

    All your ideas sound awesome ! For me in the Kremlin, being hunted by the biomass and when you die you switch sides.

    The "War" game type in COD3 and COD:Waw were always my favorite mode. I could image last light having a similar objective base gametype.

    A map on the surface during the night time, if you look at the star you freeze for a certain amount of time. That would be nice if players still had to charge their night vision goggles, I think that would add some strategy into it.

    I also hope multiplayer is not dumbed down from the original game. I want it to be just as unrelenting and difficult, and mostly stealth based. If I see a ton of people just running around I'm doing to cry.

    The biggest thing that a shooter can do for multiplayer is having maps that are interactive. I've spent my entire life playing well-balanced mid-sized arenas, I want something that truly sets every map apart; Halo 2 and 3 did this very well, being able to control the flow of the map through a switch was really fun. Black Ops also had a good deal of interactivity, what with the doors on Radiation, the rocket on Launch, the turrets on Berlin Wall, etc. I don't care if it's minor, I just absolutely love having those kinds of things in my online shooters.

    This is what i fear too. Im too old for run and gun play, i've done too much of it.

    IMO, some objective based coop might be fun, get from here to there, but must really keep track of your bullets and make headshots frequently. Getting to the top of the tower where you used the launch controls while being constantly attacked. You could make the players have to defend and cover each other while they are climbing up ladders and other stuff.

    I just hope there is no ranking system/unlocks.

    This system has totally destroyed MP games, as all anyone cares about is getting to the top of the board, and unlocking everything.

    Also, if there are different modes, then objective type games should not count kills and deaths, it should only count completed objectives/defends.
    Too many people go into objective type games and play death match style to pad their KDR.

    This is the main reason I have all but quit playing MP, unless its co-op, such as Killingfloor.

    Ideally, the multiplayer would have a load of maps on the surface and make you rely on your gas mask; if you get it broken in combat, you're dead unless you pick one up from a dead team mate or enemy.

    This game could have some great online gameplay, with the traps, alarms, lamps/lights, mounted weapons, etc.. Hopefully these things would be actually used (also each player's universal charger) and it won't be brainless run'n'gun CQC maps (though there still could be those too - the Depot map would suite that). It'd be great to be moving through a tunnel and the lights all cut out because somebody has turned off the station's generator, then you hear glass crunching behind you, you turn around and turn on your light and get a split-second glimpse of someone wearing night vision before they knife you...

    I'd personally love to see something like a map with three stations, connected together by the main train tunnels (so they form a triangle) and smaller access tunnels and passageways going between them. Of course for something like that to work there'd need to be a decent amount of players or you'd hardly see anyone. Or a map with three stations in a straight line. But there could be all sorts of team missions with maps that have a couple of stations, like taking or defending a station, destroying a rival station's generators, getting through a hostile station with a supply cart, etc.

    I definately like the idea of darkness. It would have a very "metro-y" feel to spend a battle using mainly flashlights and night vision the whole time.

    tactical-objective based i whant it to be :D like hold this position and you get a bonus, hold this and you gain weapons or resources destroy this to get somethin :D
