So, like the title, what mods/texture packs do use to enrich your Minecraft experience? Personally, I like plain vanilla Minecraft.

I personally really love the Too Much TnT mod. Because blowing stuff up is always fun. The Titanfall mod is pretty cool too, with the giant villagers as Titans.

Yeah, I saw the Titanfall mod recently. It looks awesome, I might just download it.

I enjoy modpacks. I used to play a lot of Feed the Beast and Tekkit because it has so many mods to play around with and adds a technology to minecraft which is amazing!

I like mods as much as the next player. But I think a lot of players tend to get carried away with them. I know people who build expensive PC rigs and then mod minecraft with textures and packs to the point where the game is barely recognizable anymore. I think that takes away from the 'Minecraft' feel. I enjoy playing the blocked/retro/classic theme. Essentially with mod packs that are minimalist.

That being said one of my favorite mods of all time is the 'Portal Gun' mod. Simply put, it takes the gun from the Portal series and adds it to minecraft. You can shoot a Blue and Orange beam (right click and left click) and basically travel anywhere.

I used to set it up in a way that I would find a big mine and build a small mud house next to it. After that I would wait till day time and make sure my house was neat and cozy. Once I was packed and ready to go on my adventure I would open a portal in my home and go out adventuring. I would usually go out to mine diamonds or materials I was looking for, and as soon as I was done for the day. Bam! I'd pop another portal on the ground. A free ride home!

I do also enjoy vanilla Minecraft but I do like to mix it up and use a texture pack sometimes. When I get bored of Minecraft, I like to move onto using mods like FTB or Tekkit. I think that vanilla Minecraft is great but you do get bored of it after playing it for years.

I use bukkit plugins/server mods like WorldEdit. They don't actually change the mechanics of vanilla, they just add extra features to the gameplay! Apart from that, resource packs are always good if they look good.

Also, yay TNT! I once made a huge biomes world and blew it up. It became like a wasteland survival game! Dirt was actually precious, since that's the only place where stuff could grow!

Wouldn't a mod like that eventually crash your computer?

I love playing with the Pixelmon mod. It does get boring after a while, but with being a huge Pokemon fan, I still love it regardless! Although, this is the only mod I know of so far. Have any of you guys tried out the Pixelmon servers and mods yet?

I like to go with a mod pack, right now I'm playing with the Yogscast Complete modpack from the AT launcher. It has over 50 mods compiled very extensive covering everything you could think of. Google it and check it out.

I'm actually going to check this out. For a while I used yogbox, way back in the day, but for the past couple of months (years?) it's just ben vanilla minecraft. Really miss whichever mod it was that made tree harvesting so easy.

    Tekkit, yogbox, etc etc etc.

Specific mods I like, include the Timber mod (where you chop the bottom block of a tree, and the entire tree falls into your inventory), the Morphing Mod (where you can morph into anything you kill), and whatever mod it is that gives you access to the rest of the universe. ^_^

Optifine is a must have. It increases your fps and also can make your game much prettier. I also like to run with Sonic Ether Unbelievable Shaders mod, I absolutely love it, it makes your game so much more prettier. I love the shadows and the water, it makes to game feel completely different. I remember showing it to a friend and he didn't believe that is was Minecraft.

I like mods a lot. Just like anyone else. One type of mod which I like are mods which add to the aesthetics of Minecraft. More specifically, I like mods which add more biomes into the game. There are many types of minds like this. One example is the mod 'ExtraBiomesXL.'

Rei's Minimap is a mice mod which adds a minimap to the corner of your game, it really helps you get around and prevents you from getting lost all the time

Well, do you think it's a mod incompatibility? So some other mod is interfering with it? That's probably te case. Otherwise, you probably may be using the wrong version of the mod for your minecraft. If neither of them are true, you could try contacting the developer and see what he says about it.

The morphing mod as earlier mentioned is fun as hell. Sometimes I just kill those massive ****ing spiders and terrorize the map.
