What movies or TV series would you like to see as MMORPG?

The first thing comes to my mind is Terminator.
The setting is the future where Skynet had already betrayed its human masters by launching a war of human extermination.

Players can start the game by choosing one of the four factions,
    1. Machines under Skynet's command
Obviously, your goal is to kill all humans on sight.

    2. Human resistance fighters.
It is either fight or die. You must destroy Skynet and its minions before it gets to you.

    3. (Optional) Rogue machines who are human sympathizers
You are no longer under the control of Skynet. You are free to do whatever. However, the setting for your background story is you should help the humans.

    4. (Optional) Puppet human.
Captured and now working for Skynet.

The game should be in First Person Shooting mod. While there should be a whole world out there, you have human bases and Skynet bases. Periodically there will be raids from the opposition on your bases as major server events. Or perhaps it can learn from Lineage 2 to have some kind of siege against enemy bases every week or every two weeks.

Do you guys think it can be fun?

    Stargate SG-1 MMORPG.

It was one of the most popular TV series kept running for 10 years.

If there is a MMORPG for it, I guess it should be like...

You start on one of the planets or factions of your own choice.
    You can be either,
    1. Human (then you pick your planets, including the Earth, or Tollan, etc.)
    2. Goa'uld (You can pick to be under either the system lords, or Tok'ra. And if you choose the former, you can pick which system lord you serve)

I'd like to leave Asgard out of the playable faction, since they are way overpowered in the TV series, and I want to keep their coolness.

As for other threats such as Replicators and Ori, maybe they will be added in later Chronicle / Expansions.

I'm sure a lot of people would love a game based on Harry Potter or Game of Thrones, I would personally want a game that focuses on DC's characters from current airing shows (Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow).

Yeah, I guess it would be neat to play as a young wizard kid and start going to wizard school for training, while encounter tons of events force you to go on to various quests all over the places. Then go on to explore the world for more quests. It can be fun if the game is made correctly.

Then I guess, a game like that would make everyone a wizard? A single main class for all characters? :D Or maybe the game has to divide the wizard into more specific magic based categories?

Game of Thrones! Exploring Westeros would be so much fun, I'd really love to see it come to life. Don't get me wrong, Game of Thrones game by Telltale is plenty fun as well, it's just not exactly what I'd like from a GoT game.

    Wizard of OZ,
    Chronicles of Narnia,

They both can make great MMORPG. If you do not yet know it, Wizard of OZ has total 14 books. The a few movies about them never had elements passing the third book.
As for Chronicles of Narnia, it has 8 books if I remember correctly.

The fantasy world in both story settings are what we usually like in an MMORPG. Neither of them is some new story. I wonder why nobody ever thought of it? Wizard of OZ for example, is already "public domain". There is no copy right issue whatsoever.

Definitely more specific categories, and everyone starts out at Hogwarts and can choose one of the 4 groups in there (Slytherin, Hufflepuff etc.), play Quidditch, build clans and so on. It has so much potential..

I think terminator would translate very well into this genre. I'm not that fond of medieval or fantasy settings and they seem to dominate this type of game so having something like terminator would be a great option. I'd also like to see some Japanese titles make their way into this area as well like maybe dragon ball or gundam. I'm sure there are a lot of other ones that could make for great mmorpgs but I'm only familiar with these extremely popular ones.

I agree with people saying Harry Potter. I also think that we need a proper superhero mmorpg and not just the one from Marvel that plays like a Diablo game.

Well, does it have to be Hogwarts?
I haven't read the books, but from the movies, weren't there a competition among three different schools for wizards?

I think it would be more fun if the world is bigger with more options.

Of course, you can choose to be a death eater or some other form of dark wizards later on lol... After all, the dark lord was a student in Hogwart and started his death eater group while he was still there.

Game of Thrones has a rich history and vast characters and it can easily be made into a game with Skyrim-like features. Agents of Shield is a classic choice for a superhero game, Gotham can be a great detective/superhero game hybrid but I think Supernatural has long deserved it's own game due to it's unique storyline.

Asides from Harry Potter (which come on, we need it already!), I think Firefly would actually make a pretty good MMO? Like, you're just a random smuggler in the 'Verse, doing jobs for pay? Which of course, could be the quests. Get X item from X planet and bring it back for payment for X client. You could assemble a crew by recruiting people, a little like how DA:I did it. I don't know, but the idea has plenty of potential in it.

I don't know if this counts, but I still just want a .hack mmo. The single player was amazing, but I'd love to see it all in real time mmo life. Maybe with vr...?

I agree. Marvel games, especially the free to play ones, have always felt a bit clunky to me or even just a bit rushed at the very least. I've always imagined that if they made an mmo that's polished and unique like what they did with their Capcom fighting games then it would be very popular.
