What music do you listen while playing?

I used to just listen to the in game stuff because I like to hear the action. Later on, I would listen to mostly my own music. I listen to a lot of house and tropical mixes I can usually find on Youtube.

 

I just try to find the most epic music I can, stuff with faster notes and more intense accenting, because that definitely gets my mind going the most. I would recommend instrumental metal, for example.

 

I love listening to some trap when playing League. It makes all the plays I do look way better than they actually are. I hype up and suddenly, the game gets way cooler than it is when it's silent.

 

I usually just put my tab on shuffle but I prefer high intensity songs to get me hyped

I tend to listen to what I consider to be "ignorant rap music" if I'm doing/feeling well and just want to focus.

Stuff like Future or Young Thug that has high production quality, but no lyrical content so I don't have to really focus on it. It's usually some artist that I dont listen to wen I actually WANT to listen to music because i think they're bad lol.


On the other hand if I'm tilted or not playing well I'll switch to chill, electronic, trance type music. I find it helps settle my mind if I'm more upset about the game.

Lately, I've been playing some Pandora radio stations of old music I used to listen to. I used to listen to a lot of pop/punk rock like New Found Glory. It brings me back listening to some of these songs.

 

It's probably the worst music to listed to while playing this game but I usually blast my Thrash Metal playlist just to get me pumped although sometimes the music gets in the way of proper strategy and due to fact that I'm listening to pretty much pure hatred it fuels my anger when something stupid happens.

 

I listen to in game music. Even if I'm a bit sick of it I still can't bring myself to listen to other music while I play because I don't feel it fits the game as well as the original. It's sort of a pet peeve of mine and I even sort of dislike it that no streamer ever just streams with original music.

 

You could always find a cinematic type playlist. Something that thematically fits the game.

Most people would prefer some variation from the one song that plays.

 

Epic music or EDM, lowered to abou 10% because I love the sound effects of the game and I can be more focused that way.

 

I actually don't listen to any music at all, as I find that it distracts me from concentrating on the game. I guess you could say I take the game a bit too seriously

 

Today's playlist consists of some tropical house. I'll be listening to some Kygo mostly. He's got hours of mixes on Youtube for those that are interested.

 

It has to be some non-speaking kind of music, something classical or something chill becasue that makes me focus on the game way more and that improves my gameplay however sometimes it distracts me totally and redirects my attention onto other stuff and I end up playing badly, so yeah it has to be the kind of music that doesn't interrupt you. Oh and I also lower the volume of the music a lot I prefer to focus on the IG sounds.

 

I know exactly what you are talking about. For me, as long as the songs aren't new, the lyrics don't distract because I've heard the song a million times. I do get what you are saying for new songs.

 

I've been really getting into tropical house and chill music lately. I got into kygo when I heard his remix of Benkamin Francis Leftwich's songs. They are such soothing songs.

 

I usually play with friends, so if I listen to some music while I play I wouldn't be able to listen to them.

 

If I'm not on Skype, I keep the game's sound on. In fact, I always keep the game's sound on. I like the champions' voices a great lot and I'd never trade them for music. I got so used to hearing they're lines that I can't really play well if I'm listening to whatever else. Anyone experienced this?

 

When I listen to music while playing League, which is usually when I'm solo-q'ing and not on Teamspeak, I listen to EDEN like 90% of the time, which is the same as when I'm not playing games, or just EDM or pop any other time.
