What old things would you like to see improved in newer updates?

I think a cool vanity change would be the ability to "dye" beds and make the sheets different colors. This could be done by creating a bed the same way you always have, but using dyed wool instead of just white.

 

I think it would be cool if the friendly mobs like sheep, cows, chickens, and pigs could have more interactions with the environment and with themselves. It might be a bit unnecessary but I was just trying to think of something. Like instead of moving around randomly, animals might follow each other around a bit in herds. Maybe they could occasionally chase each other around or even lay down for awhile.

 

I really want to see cannons, new boats, spears and shields. The combat needs more enhancing honestly, it's just boring. Imagine being on a ship in Minecraft while shooting cannons at other peoples boat, oh god the amount of fun.

 

Oh yes. I remember making big cannons out of obsidian, redstone, and TNT. However, they didn't look the prettiest and are rather resource demanding. I would like to see something smaller, maybe couple blocks, where you could craft a cannon ball and then put it into the cannon to fire.

Also boats, yes. I think it would be amazing to have larger boats that we could actually move around. But on top of that, I want the smaller boats to be more easily controlled. They are a bit of a nightmare for me to use and it makes me happy they require so little to make because of how many times I break mine.

And as for the weapons, out of all the weapon ideas I've heard I think yours are the most fitting for the game. Spears and shields fit the style and would be simple to implement. I would think of a spear being just like the sword but it has a longer range and maybe it's a bit slower, and possibly throwable. While shields could be used for blocking at the right time. It would add a bit more skill into the combat system.

 

I honestly want the boat to have a new mode/workaround. You're basically in a bucket of wood that has no way to float. Cannons would have to have a round barrel to make any sense at all so that's another problem. Due to the pressure of a blast in a real cannon if the cannon was square wouldn't it cause a relapse due to the sharp angles inside and explode? I know Minecraft isn't that realistic but I think it's reasonable. As for my weapons suggestion I want the spears to be long. Like 3-4 blocks long and when viewed in third person it actually looks good and not bad, that would make my day. Think about the destruction cannons could bring though, oh god the zerg rushes I can already see them..
