I read this article today and wondered, how did this guy run 100 mods at once? I have an alright computer that can run Skyrim fine, but the more mods you include it slows the system down, well this guy was able to run 100 mods at once and seem to not even bother anything. Of course they're mods to make the game shine more, so I suppose it isn't a major set of mods. Read about it here: Kotaku Here are some of the pictures of the awesome graphics: More can be seen on the site.
That's incredible, the picture with the galaxy in the sky is amazing. He must have been running a computer worth more than $5000 to run that smoothly probably. Even an i7 and 16GB of RAM would choke with that.
That's breathtaking. I would love to be able to run the game in those graphics but my computer would probably explode in its current state. Can't wait until I upgrade. I would love to know the modders computer specs, is there anywhere I can find them?
It looks great but is it really worth all the extra money that it cost? At the end of the day, the game in it's natural form is a challenge for people and that's wherethe fun is; working something out for yourself rather than modding the game to death.
I agree with nimrodel, the game is good as it stands. I 'm not dogging the graphics as they are some of the best I have seen in a while, just the fact that the game doesn't need all of that extra effort to make it enjoyable.
That is beautiful! So incredibly beautiful. I actually have a few of those mods (or similar ones anyway) but my computer is lower end and they don't look nearly that nice. Those take my breath away!
Some of these photos look real! I have always wanted to mod my games but don't know how to get them working once I install them ><. Skyrim is so beautiful with all of these running, it is a wonder who people would ever play anything else. If the online mod would get into full swing we could probably enjoy its beauty with our friends. I would rather do that than play the mmo version.
I really wish i had enough money to build a computer that can support this. It would be really awesome to walk around and explore the word while everything looks like that. Amazing.
That looks amazing! The game itself is great, but with those graphics that would bring my Skyrim experience to a whole new level. My computer would explode if I attempted 100 mods.
If I had a better computer, I'd do that in a heartbeat. Those photos are gorgeous - not that Skyrim wasn't a good looking game already, but these mods have really heightened the graphics. This person playing it must have a really high-end computer.
Those mods look nice I wouldn't imagine adding anymore mods to my Skyrim I am starting to notice an increase in loading times otherwise the game still runs smoothly.
Wow your game must be laggy with so many mods and them textures are literally breathtaking amazing to see what a mod adjustment can add to a game it looks real like a film :O
I have used some graphics enhancing mods on my Skyrim, and I have to admit that it makes a lot of difference to the game. I mostly used environment, armor and weapon and character enhancing mods, and even though my PC isn't that strong, I only had minor fps drops compared to the original game.
Considering how taxing the grass in Skyrim is, having that abundance as depicted in the first picture while maintaining a constant playable FPS is amazingly good. That PC probably costs around 1.2K +, holy crap. I'm probably going to get a new graphics card to replace my 6850, but dayum, that looks amazing. Even with a 7970, I probably won't be able to handle this... This is probably like, running on a 690 or Titan+ dual card equivalent. I should really start playing Skyrim again, heh.
While I don't think most people will be able to run this game with these beautiful graphics - here is the list of the mods: http://www.asot.es/2001/09/skyrim-mods.html These graphics really are stunning, though there's something unrealistic about them, cant put my finger on it, but its something in the lighting. Oh, and for those interested, this is what he wrote his specs are: 2500K @ 4Ghz + GTX670 @ 1200/7000
Dang, that's beautiful! My computer chokes a little on basic Skyrim, never mind with all those mods. Wow. Just... wow. I would love to be able to run games like that, though as others have mentioned I don't think the computer would really be worth it for most people.
I was expecting something that looks lame...but this is actually amazing. I can't imagine this playing at a decent FPS on my PC though, plus I couldn't be bothered installing 100 mods.
