What was your first impression of Minecraft?

Same. I thought it was going to be totally lame and not worth my time. Well, now I see how wrong I was. Lol.

 

Like most people, my first impression of Minecraft was that it had crappy, blocky outdated graphics. As soon as I made my first inventory cheated diamond house, I became addicted to it! I can still remember the times when I played for hours and hours on end when Minecraft was during beta 1.6.

 

I first saw it as a game that had potential, but there was hardly any stuff in it. Keep in mind however this was during the days of the 1.6 beta, this was when hardly any stuff that is in Minecraft now was not added, and there wasn't even mods back then.

 

At the VERY beginning, before I even looked at a game play, I thought that it was like Runescape or something. But after I watched SeaNanners play it, I thought that it looked pretty cool! So, I decided to give it a try. Turns out, I really liked the game!

 

Well, I started playing it before I'd ever really heard of it. I always saw the name everywhere and didn't really look into it, but when I started playing it I really liked it and I bought the game about a week later.

 

The graphics turned me off of the game for the longest time before I actually got down and started getting more into the mechanics.
Then I regretted waiting so long to start playing

 

When I played it alone for the first time I didn't know what to do and spent about half an hour just running around and trying to dig through stone with my bare hands. But when I first played it with my friends who introduced me to minecraft I was absolutely astonished by how much you could do. I still remember how they told me to craft my first workbench. Awesome memories.

 

My first impression of the game, I thought it was crap because of the graphics was not at today's standards, after checking it out from the hype, now I'm so addicted to the game it grew on me and I can careless about the graphics anymore, now i play it almost everyday because it's one of the best games I've eve played with so much you can do it that game.

 

I was really compelled by the potential it displayed when I tried the alpha. It was very limited, but if was basically a giant LEGO sandbox. I love LEGO and naturally I was very grasped by the game. It's been interesting to see how it's developed since beyond the beta.

 

I thought it was a stupid kid game. It looked bad and it didn't look amusing. This was during alpha I think. A year later, I went over to a friend's house and I got to try it out. I was in love. I had no intention in staying over longer than an hour, but he was explaining all these interesting things to me. It was midnight, and I decided to go back home, even though I didn't want too. I instantly bought the game after getting a few hours of sleep. Good times .

 

I thought it was lame
But then my nephew shoved me how to play it and it just got under my skin...

 

I thought I wouldn't be that fun because of the lame graphics. But boy, was I wrong. The look of Minecraft eventually grew on me, and I fell in love with the game. Now Minecraft is a good part of my life!

 

When I first played Minecraft I thought it would be fun, but that's because I watched TheRealSariix play it. At first, I misread a wiki saying that in Indev and Infdev there was crafting, so I thought that since I had Alpha, I couldn't craft. That's only because I didn't figure out that 'i' was the button to press for the inventory. Well, the game was super fun ever since.

 

TheRealSarixx? He seems to be an inactive Youtuber. How did you find him in the first place?

 

At first I thought it was a lame game. I faintly heard it being talked about by some hardcore nerds who played really obscure games while on break from working in the National Guard... those kinds of people. I even ignored my brother when he played it and was describing it. Then it became mainstream and I started to come around and saw how cool it was. I was completely lost when I tried it though, it was so hard. I ended up loving it, but started out negative.

 

Well I have not played the game yet, but I have seen the graphics of the game. when I first saw the photos I was like what in the world is this? Then I saw everyone talking about it, so now I am going to get the game and try it out for myself. I am really excited to see how it works and how I will like it.

 

At first I thought it had an interesting concept but wasn't very in-depth, which was true at the time that I first begun playing it. (Alpha)

 

I was pretty neutral about it and I didn't think it was stupid or anything. One thing that really stood out to me and convinced me to buy the game was the survival aspect. I loved the idea of survival games back then and Minecraft was one of the most popular survival games back then. I wasn't impressed by the graphics but that soon didn't matter as I was more interested into the gameplay quality.

 

wtf is this shit? and then.. I broke and block and place it.. and there began an addiction.
