What's the best way to earn gold in GW2?

    I play very defensive WvW normally so I really don't get to earn gold in-game. The last time when I was able to earn a lot was the Crown Pavilion Event and during the heyday of the Scarlett invasions but that's that. Now that I'm considering going for a legendary weapon, I'm now more incline to earn more in-game. I've started doing dungeons, but that's all what I've been doing.

    My question now is, what's the best way to earn in GW2, and how many gold per hour would that strategy net you? Thanks in advance! :D

    Have you tried going through dungeons? These usually have a lot of gold in them. Farming and selling T1 mats are a great way too. If you can get to the dungeons you can salvage exotics from them and sell the ectos.

    You can exploit an event at Cursed Shore which is called dolyak farming by many players. Just guest on some high population server and head to the Cursed Shore, there will be almost always one or even more commanders leading the zerg. A lot of champion mobs will spawn there so make sure to use aoe spells. You're supposed to let the event fail so it will restart shortly after. I can't find the wiki page for the event but if you look up dolyak farming you'll find it.

    What Korsakoff suggested is good. I've heard of that method though I haven't tried it myself. It's suppose to work very well!

    Ya, I have heard a lot of people talk about the method Korsakoff mentioned. Sadly I haven't ever been able to accomplish it. I have a major problem of dying while doing it.

    Champ farming is probably your best bet. I'm not sure if it's still the case but it used to be ideal with staff guardians. There should be Zergs in the level 80 zones that you can follow and spam with. Other than that, keep an eye on new events. ANet typically doesn't want inflation so most lucrative methods of farming gold tend to be nerfed.

    A single day of Plinx' chain of events got me up to 20 gold, selling ectos and materials through the TP. Considering that I play too much I'd say that someone with a decent play time can get at least 5 gold a day from there.

    The best way to earn gold is to have it already. If you have a solid amount of gold you can watch the markets and buy low and sell high. The best thing to invest in is dyes it seems like. If you get any of the dyes that are limited you can hold them a few months and earn hundreds of gold. Other than that I'd say dungeons and world events are the biggest gold earner.

    The best way I can think of, is either doing a lot of dungeons, or trading at the Auction House. You could also start materials farming once you hit max level. There are a couple of good farming spots. Just look them up on the internet.

    If your playing alot of WvW I would ask your server when they do karma or champ farming. Most of the time its in HoTM (I think thats the right acronym for the new WvW map) or flipping towers/keeps. This can get you quite a bit of rares and sometimes exotics. Another way is to champion farm in Orr, Dry Top or Frostgorge maps.
