What's the dumbest reason you've seen for kicks and bans in the game?

Once, my friend was walking around on this one crappy server, and the admin walked up to him and kept threatening to ban him. Everyone on the server (ignore the fact that there were only like five people) was asking why he was gonna get banned, and then he did. He didn't do anything at all, just walked around a bit. It was crap.
Later, I went on the same server, and it sucked, so no big loss. Still, it was stupid.

 

I almost got banned off a server for being afk. Seriously, JUST being away from the damn game almost got me kicked.

 

I've only been banned a couple times, and one of them, i have no clue why. I had seen a post on the mc forums about a server, it has a few nice buildings, so i joined. Someone said "How dare you come here motherf*****!!!" then banned me with MCBans, for the reason "griefing, killing, attempting to breach admin account". I had only been in the server for about 10 seconds.

Another time i was banned was because i misclicked in creative mode, and broke one wooden plank. I replaced it shortly after, but the owner saw me, and screamed "GRIEFER, GRIEFER, GRIEFER", spamming the chat about once every second or two, then got IP banned from the server and forums.

 

i was banned for getting on and saying "whoa" because the spawn, was a tower of sponges with lava pouring out on all angles....
most retarted server ever -_-

 

A friend and I were banned after joining an open world pvp server for open world pvping, this is after the admins gave everyone we were attacking god mode stuff.

 

I was mod on a quite big server, 20 people played daily, and one day I was banned and I asked the server owner why, he said I had griefed spawn and that i'll never be welcome back, that was when I had been busy with school, and hadn't been on for 4-5 days.

Some people are....nevermind

 

I had farmed a lot of stuff in a really small period of time and the owner started to question how I got those. He banned me 5 minutes later and I never came back to that server.

 

For being good. They think you're a hacker simply because you wreck them in PvP.

It's really annoying too because when I try to re-join the server, it says "The Ban Hammer has spoken."

 

I don't play in servers where bans happen for non-legitimate reasons.

 

Don't be surprised if that happens.. you're holding up slots so other people who actually want to play can't and you're not putting any contribution on the server.

I've been banned on certain servers before for "hacking" but I really wasn't. It was actually quite complimenting, tells me I'm good at the game

 

I feel like a lot of these people that were banned straight away without reason were probably banned because they joined while the staff were doing something that required only staff to be online, and they probably forgot to set a whitelist. That doesn't excuse what they did, but it could be a reason.
