A lot of World of War Craft players don't really go for the minigames, I suppose if you want those achievements you will, but who plays them for fun though? and what are your favourites if any? I like to pass the time with Spade and Little Battler, how about you?

I'm not big on the mini-games and can't say that I've spent too much time in them. I probably couldn't even name more than a handful of them.

I like the pet battling system, I also like playing Pokemon so it's great to have a little game inside WoW that's like that.

There are mini-games? I don't believe I've gotten this far yet but I'm sure I'll enjoy it when they get there. Especially the pet-battling system or a card-game like system if it exists.

I love the PVP part of the pet battle system. They did a good job of keeping it anonymous and without trash-talking it just feels like you are competing against really good AI. In other words, you can easily pretend that it is just PVE.

I love the darkmoon faire battle arena or even stranglethorn vale arena.

I've had so many blood baths there it's been brutal..I recall battles going on for hours after somebody already claimed the reward at the stranglethorn arena.

I'd have to say the pet battle. It's a nice time killer and I can catch cute critters when I have nothing else to do. Waiting for raids to form was such a pain the butt in the past because there was nothing to do save for watching Youtube vids while hovering over Orgrimmar/Stormwind.

Huh, is the Stranglethorn Vale Arena a very active place? I can't say I've ever actually participated in the fight...
    How often does it happen?

A couple years ago they created a system called ´cross-realm- zones´ CRZs so basically low level zones get merged together. Since that time, the STV arena has been fairly active since dozens of people get a message when the event is starting. I believe it starts every 4 hours.

I love pet battles and got into them when they first got out. Managed to get most of the achievements and still use them as a leveling tool for some of my characters. I just wish they add more diversity to pets as it seems like a dull, redundant pokemon.

What do you mean by diversity? There's a lot of pets out there and a fair amount of move combos to explore.

It feels pretty spammy after a while. I just wish there were more options to explore.

I actually like that it is spammy. I leveled a lot of character using pet battles, It works out nice because I can kill two birds with one stone, level up characters and level up pets.

I usually use a low level pet and then two of the zandalari raptors who have a ´on kill, heal me´ ability. This means they usually end each battle at full health. Just find an aread with lots of critter pets and you can quickly raise a pet and a character at the same time. I use the crickets in valley of 4 winds.

The pet battle is my personal favourite. The gameplay is fair in that mini game, but the best aspect is the free XP. It is the best place to grind and really isn't that boring.

I used to level my alts too with pet battles. Mostly in the 80-90 range. Is it still worth the investment over questing now?

Other than pet battles I haven't touched any. I barely did any pet battles at that. I don't really go for mini-games.

I actually hate all of them. I despise pet battling, I do it only for achievements. I don't like the Faire games, I don't do the fishing event and I just generally dislike the minigames. Something that comes to mind is that really awful game where you have to stop the evil flowers from attacking the shed and you get an annoying sunflower pet as a prize...I don't remember specifics. I blocked most of it out.

well, you need to expand on what is a mini-game. WOW has always been a pve game with raids as the end game. BGs and Arena were added later, does that make them a mini-game. Do we really want a game where all we can do is quest and kill raid bosses?

I think this is probably the reason why WoD is not so good. They actually added a mini-game, but made it the main part of the xpansion to the point where it is the biggest part of most people´s gameplay.
