    I bought it when it was still in Alpha, I saw great potential in it and knew it would have a bright future. It was a good decision because in the end this game is massively popular and I didn't have to pay the full price it has now. :D

    For a while, I just played with friends on some pirated client we had and used Hamachi, but I eventually bought it officially a little bit before it was officially "released" from beta. I definitely didn't want to have to pay the full, current price of it, but I think it was worth it.

    After I sailed on the 7 seas for quite a while (hope you get this reference), I really wanted to play Multiplayer online on special servers. This is when I bought the game. Didn't make the wrong decision!

    I actually bought minecraft quite a while after I heard about it. At first I was too scared to ask my parents whether I could get it or not. Therefore I browsed minecraft wiki all day long. I enjoyed it a lot though.

    Late Alpha, as with most people I tried the game after watching someone play it on youtube. Alpha was so much fun. I remember settling in a hilly biome and building a dirt house. I even remember its expansion and underground lair. Then I died and couldn't find the house again :(

    Around beta version 1.5,I knew about it before that but I just never brought it for some reason, instead I just watched it until I saved up enough to buy it myself

    I bought minecraft a few years back because i enjoyed the game immensely. Too bad i don't have that much time to get on the game, real life gets in the way.

    I bought minecraft when it was around 1.6 beta, fun times I had building dirt shacks which slowly expanded into fortresses. Nowadays I don't have enough time to relive my glory days as a newbie :(

    I bought it when it was in beta and a friend of mine suggested it to me. I loved it as soon as I played it for the first time. I had never played MMORPG games at the time and Minecraft was the game that brought me into the MMORPG world!

    I'm actually fairly new to Minecraft, only getting the game about 6 months ago. Always just avoided it as I thought it was "kiddy" game, but a friend convinced me it was fun. Now, I'm glad I did buy the game as whenever I do get back to playing it, I always have a good time.

    Haha, it's funny how many people think that the first time they see Minecraft. I have showed Minecraft to a few friends and they wonder why the game is all blockish and of course they have to mention "the terrible graphics," also the chicken never fails to be confused as a duck.... :p

    I bought Minecraft when it was still relatively new and not a lot of people knew about it. I got hooked from the very first day. I's addictive as hell and I am still playing it.

    I bought the beta version, cause it had multiplayer, and i could finally understand what all my friends kept going on and on about all the time.

    I bought Minecraft around August of 2011, it was still when the game was in an early stage but at the time I was absolutely sold. I loved it then and I still love it now.

    I bought mine around 2011 a little before the school years started...finally got to see what my friend loved so much and have been playing ever since.

    I've played MInecraft since 2011 but I've to admit that I acquired it recently. Even if I liked it so much I just didn't conceive the idea of waste my money buying a pixel game where you can build using only cubes. I don't think the same anymore, but you've to understand me and you will probably do.

    I bought Minecraft without knowing much about it. Besides seeing a music video of it my cousin showed me once about a month prior, I didn't know anything about it. I knew it was about building things and survivability. I was looking for a new game to play at the time and figured I would just give this a shot. This was in the beginning of September 2012.

    It definitely was a purchase in haste but a purchase I have not regretted either. Funny enough, my wife introduced it to me some years prior to it and I remembered finally that I had played the browser version for a couple of minutes and told my wife that it sucked. I didn't remember this until long after I bought Minecraft and fell in love with it.

    Good, it will be nice for you to have someone to play with. Always nice getting the GF or BF into something you enjoy doing. I tried to get my GF into it but she kept saying "What do I do, I don't know what to do!"

    I bought it when my friends bought it like over 3 years ago. Still worth every penny as this game finally keeps me busy, Normally i am done with a game within a few weeks. but minecraft, No
