I'd be interested in when you started playing Minecraft. I started in the late alpha versions, around 2011 I think. Minecraft looked way different back then when compared to today.
So, when did you start your journey?

I started late alpha as well, I remember when survival came out and it astounded everyone. I would slack off during my computer class and play Minecraft in the browser with my friends. Good times, I remember the celebration when it was officially "released" even though it had millions of players already.

This, I never really understood why Notch made the Beta phase so long, when the game already had millions of players and had a wide range of features already.

No clue, the game hasn't been "finished". Updates still add content that revolutionize the game, same as before "release". I'm guessing that to be put on lists and sold in stores the game needs to be "finished" and so it was more of a milestone than meaning the game is finished.

I know that it's not "finished" yet (it seems to be finished because of the massive amount of features), but I did not see one game on my whole life which was in the BETA phase with millions players playing already! But hey, that's the good thing: It's not finished yet, so the future is open to Minecraft and we'll discover new stuff with every update.

Definitely didn't play anywhere near the beginning, only picked it up around a year and a half ago. I honestly didn't pay much attention or ever really think it was anything more than a fad. That said now I've been playing it I love it!

That's how most people think these days, they're saying Minecraft is stupid and has got nothing but placing and destroying random blocks. But as soon as they actually play it they begin to love it and get addicted to it haha!

I've just played a bit on a friends computer... this was towards the end of last year so definitely not a long time ago. I think the idea of the game is nice, but somehow it just doesn't appeal to me enough for me to get it myself.

I started in September 2012 after months of prodding from one of my cousins. I had been looking for a building game for awhile and Minecraft was bought impulsively. I didn't see any let's play videos nor reviews for it and just bought it because my cousin told me about it.

Just a couple of years ago. It's funny, because at the time I thought it was just some over-hyped kids' game that wouldn't be worth the money. Then a friend talked me into trying it out. Yep, I got addicted pretty darn quickly.

For me I remember specifically purchasing Minecraft when it was at its alpha price. I'd had an interest in it prior due to friends and the internet beforehand for quite a while.

I came to minecraft pretty recently. Honestly, I never really paid attention to it before because I was fixated on other games. It is an obsession now, though. Ha ha.

I was quite late into the scene when I started. I only found out about Minecraft when it got really popular. When I joined, there were already a lot of worlds being built.

I started very early into the Minecraft scene. I remember playing the experimental alpha after seeing it mentioned on one of the chans. It was pretty interesting, but basically the most fun thing you could do at that time was dig into the ground until you found a small cave. The water physics were insanely bad and could flood the world.

I started playing Minecraft about a year ago when I got it first on Xbox 360. From there I downloaded it to my laptop, and have been playing on and off since then. It's one of the few games I can come back to at anytime.

I've started playing Minecraft about 3 years ago. It was an amazing experience. At first I didn't even know how to break a tree, but I learned fast. After some years it got boring, but I still played it. I am still an active Minecraft player.

I am just dipping my toes into the minecraft waters at the moment. While I have heard about it for years, I have been distracted my other games. Now that it is "not quite" summer yet and other games are wearing a bit thing - it seemed like the time to try.

I specifically remember buying my copy. It was right before beta started, so the price was being hiked up, and i had no money at the time so i got my mom to buy it as my christmas gift. I have been playing it ever since, and for a long time it was the only thing i would play or watch on youtube.

I started in the relatively late alpha stage. Can't remember what year it was, now, but it was quite some time ago. The game has gone so far from those days, even if it was good back then.
