When Villagers are Annoying...

    What do you do with them?

    I hate when they keep opening and closing doors constantly, and otherwise get in my way. I would just kill them all, but that makes me feel sadistic and at the same time I like trading them for things. So my friend and I created a jail for them. To get them inside, we left an opening in the jail cell, and led rail tracks toward it, and let them ride in on a minecart. Then we'd quickly lock the cell. Whenever we needed to trade, we'd just go up to the bars and do so. Okay, I just realized that is probably worse than killing them. :p

    I always just remove their doors, if they can't behave with them I just take them away. I still enjoy trading with them and they normally don't die.

    That's about right. I normally fence them into a small town and put up a sign that says: "Off Limits!" followed by another sign: "Warning! Can cause headaches!"

    When villagers become annoying i just plain up kill the,. Villagers are constantly annoying and i feel they try and rip you off for deals anyway so i just destroy them.

    I let them go in their houses, put stone in front of the door, so they can't walk out, then I build a giant vulcano next to their house, put lava in the middle and having fun. :p

    Blockades seem like the way to go here, lol. One of my buddies has it out for the villagers. He saw my blocked in houses of villagers and proceeded to pour lava through the ceiling :(. Karma caught up with him quick as he was destroyed by squad of creepers later that night. :p

    I usually dig a big ditch and let the villagers have their fun in the pit. That way I don't feel terrible about killing them, but I still get to remove the nuisance.

    The best option that i have used is the logical, non-emotional approach. Create a breeding cell for them away from where you spend most of your time but still within range for them to be loaded. This way you can create more villagers when you get the wrong trades. After you find just the right villagers, you have a sort of window shopping area. You only leave a 1 wide space for you to interact with them so they cant run off. The only problem with this system is that they still do the "hmmm" all the time. I never feel terrible about killing them, i can always make more. I feel worse about killing my animals in game. lol

    I like to kill them. Or just lock them up somewhere. They are really annoying indeed.

    I either kill them or lock them up like you guys said. I prefer to kill them mostly because they piss me off sometimes. I don't feel anything other than the feeling of relief upon killing them.

    I put them in my dungeons of hell. If they try to escape, they drown in lava. HAHAHA

    I'd just kill them. or dig a ditch and throw them in. Then again, removing their doors could be a pretty cool idea. After all, this is my world to create, and we play God in this realm.

    Like someone else said, I remove their doors so that they can't slam them constantly and then block the hole up with dirt. When I want to trade I break the top block so that I can interact with them. I also remove the tables made from a fence post and a pressure plate so that they aren't jumping on them click all the time. Villagers truly are annoying!

    Lol, thinking of ways to torture and prank those villagers can be a minigame in itself. Feels so satisfying to see them fall into the traps I make for them.

    All my villagers are ones I heal from a zombie spawner. I keep them buried deep underground near the zombies to keep them in constant fear. That'll teach them to make annoying sounds.

    Aww, man. I like having my villagers walk around and chill. Makes the world feel less empty, though I don't think I've ever traded with a villager or productively used one. I also feel bad when I have to kill animals for food, especially livestock I myself have bred.

    I normally just end up slaughtering them. It seems to help with them being annoying, that or just building villager proof houses. Something with a jump or two that is easy to do but they fall to their deaths if they fail.

    Even if they started to make the simple jumps i'd make it worse. I get unlimited tries to make it perfect. They get one.
