Which faction are you going to play?

I heard a crazy rumor that even though the game starts out as faction based, that later in the (lvl 50 maybe?) you can start your own factions with whoever you want...that might make it easier to decide!

 

I was wondering the same thing, races should have a limitation on who they can partner up with, thats just silly, what if you wanted to coop wit your friend but you happened to choose different races from the get go?

 

It is difficult to decide for me as well and I came to look for some hints on the forum. It is good to hear though that you can start your own faction later on - that sure will be an interesting thing to do. Now off I go to watch the videos...!

 

This is a question that always troubled me, in every game that i have to pick a certain race/faction. I think i'll just wait a bit more see which one fits me better lore/skillwise and go from there.

 

Leveling is always a pain but if there are bonus perks like setting up your own that might be of interest to many who would just otherwise call it "another one of those level games". I know many people that hate to grind out levels so this might get them into the game quicker than something else (that is usually boring) would.

 

I usually play races that are a little bit unique in some way, such as the miniature Asura in GW2 or the burly Tauren in WoW, so the natural choice for me are the Firrans. I named my character after my cat and I'm really hooked because of the detail that they put in the animations and textures.

 

I chose the races of The East because I find The West seem too much like a bunch of snobby pretentious Alliance bastards. ^_^ I like the Harani and chose them for my first character because their race bio seemed about right. The furry race are great because I am biased toward cats.

 

I chose West ofcourse, becouse I love playing as an elf. When I saw first informations about the game i already knew back then that I am going to play an elf, so choosing a faction wasn't a problem for me. Now I must say it was very good choice, I love my character.

 

If the rumors are true about starting your own faction at 50, that's one of the best rewards I could possibly think of in any MMO I've ever played. Nothing says customization like starting your own faction. I'm interested to see how it'll be implemented though, that's for sure.

 

I don't know, if you are having trouble picking a race than maybe get some more info regarding it and the one that suits your play style best is probably for you. Also seemingly you don't have to worry too much since you can make your own faction from level 50 and above. Just try to pick one which will let you enjoy the game and not leave you wondering why you didn't choose another one.

 

I enjoy playing as Asura and being a warrior and it is interesting to see what happens. I like the weapons used, and fighting prowess and how the character is good build and can increase it.

 

I don't really mind much whichever faction I join, I'll probably just join whatever my friends join.

 

I chose the eastern faction, I liked the perks of the Harani because of the farming stats as I spent a lot of time on the Alpha and Beta stages of the games just building a farm and making tons of money of that and trade packs.

 

My first pick was the Harani due to is race biography of being hard workers and survivors. My second pick was the Firrans because I am partial to cats. The other two in the west does not interest me because they remind me of the Alliance in WoW: snobby and pretentious. ^_^

 

I just decided to start playing this game this past weekend. I'm creating one character in each race to see which I like the most. So far I've created a Firran and a Harani and I'm intrigued by both of their lore and story lines so far. Next I'll create one of each of the other two before I decide which one will be my "main" race. I'm also trying out various classes as well. Right now my Firran is Battlerage and my Harani is Shadowplay. I'm still thinking about which other two classes I want to try out. I generally like melee DPS. Any recommendations?

 

I too enjoy playing asura I like the weapons involved.
