Pretty much this question. I, for one, have been pretty influenced by world of warcraft and cannot get into other MMO's that lack quality or content at the moment. I could say that it spoiled other games for me and I do not like to settle for less.

All of the years I put into RuneScape really made me good at mindless grinding. I sometimes seem to get bored in other games doing unique quest lines and I will start killing mobs, lol.

Not really. I mean other MMOs don't really shine because WoW's been established but new MMOs are breaking through the stronghold WoW has in the genre. As for regular games, they haven't been affected because there are times where I don't feel like playing WoW and want something with more instant gratification.

Probably RuneScape and World of Warcraft for me. I've played tons of MMOs, though. .Hack or whatever it was called was a small MMO, right? Or maybe that game was just based on .Hack, which was an MMO in its canon. I don't know what I'm saying. Runescape and Wow!

I would have to say that it was my first ever MMO. Ragnarok Online was the game that got me started on the whole thing, it taught me the basics of grinding, working with teams, PVPs, GVG, participating in events, etc etc. So once I tried other games I was able to manage by following the basics I've learned from my previous MMO while adjusting little by little to the new environment.

World of Warcraft, pretty much. I couldn't play any further games after I began playing this one, because I wasn't able to find something of a similar quality.
It's just like music: once you stick to a single genre/song, you eventually end up listening only to that one.

Resident Evil had more of an effect than any other mmo.

League of Legends definitely did. I'm so much hooked, that it's the only game that I actually focus on.

World of Warcraft and more recently, League of Legends. World of Warcraft forced users to concentrate on leveling as efficiently as possible. Small changes here and there saved hours leveling from 0-80+. It also had the PvP element that League takes to an extreme. Squeezing every last DPS out.

EverQuest is the one that literally altered my gaming habits. There was a time I just gamed for like a hour or two and called it a day.

But once I started on EverQuest, I started learning what "binge" gaming was. And now I play games for much longer than I did prior to that game.

I played Ragnarok years ago, and the influence that gave me is to play games 10 hours straight in an internet cafe with my cousins. I got scolded by my aunt every time we play games.
