Out of Mr House, the NCR, or Caesar's Legion, who did you ultimately decide to back in the battle for Hoover Dam? Or did you decide to look out for number one and take the strip for yourself? In my first play through I made sure the NCR won the day, but I'm thinking about making my next run a little more selfish.
I sided with Caesar's Legion if I remember correctly I looked out for myself and tried to make decision that would benefit me so I did take the strip for myself I only played through the game once, but I do plan doing a second run, but I still have a few games I have to even play yet!
I think I went with NCR too because I just wanted them to win for some reason. It's been a long time since I played New Vegas so I might have remembered it wrong. Basically, I'll choose whomever were the good guys.
The first time around, I chose NCR because I felt that what the NCR was doing was right. However, the second time around, I chose Mr. House because I felt that the 'mini-kingdom' of Mr. House should retain their independence. I would never have chosen Caesar's Legion because I couldn't bring myself to just look out for myself. In reality and virtual reality, my actions are based on my ideals on helping others and uniting against a commonality.
I chose to follow Yes man's plan. He seemed like he knew what he was doing, and I being the braun of the operation, just followed the brains. In the end it all worked out. I claimed New Vegas as my own and defeated the legion.
I totally went with the NCR in the beginning, but then I chose my own Path in the end, taking over New Vegas with Yes Man...
I tried to play middle of the road all the way up to the point I had to make a decision about Mr. House. I chose NCR when it came down to it.
That's a decent way to go usually on these type of games I usually have a few different characters one evil another good and one that I try to base my decisions if I were the character.
NCR for me. I played the original Fallout, and in that game, your character actually helps create the New California Republic, by saving a small town called Shady Sands. A local girl from that village becomes the first President of the NCR and Shady Sands the Republic Capital. So in New Vegas I just had to protect what my "ancestor" created.
I played it several times everytime siding with someone different. I first sided with the Yes-Man because I wanted the Brotherhood Of Steel and the Great Khans to rule, These are my favorite factions from the entire game. My second game I sided with the NCR as I wanted to see what are the "good guys" doing. Third game, I went with Mr.House but I didn't like it. Fourth time obviously Caesar's Legion which was my favorite. I just wanted to restore Rome's power.
I'm not entirely sure but I think I killed mister house, took the robots for myself and then sided with NRC and saved the day.
The first time I played I sided with Mr. House because I wasn't aware there were other ways. Nearly every playthrough after that I've sided with Yes Man for my own New Vegas. There is something about an independent Vegas that makes me glad it is a choice. Mr. House just wants to have "power", the Legion are just the mindless tribals. The NCR is the second best but they are largely only looking after themselves.
I went to Caesar's camp with Boone and started a massacre. Killed everyone and survived with a nip of hp! That was probably the most fun part of fallout! I got Caesar's displacement glove!
I took the strip for myself because all the other factions sucked! Sadly, I think I sucked too! But really, I didn't like the NCR, the old man was like a dictator and the the Legion are just a bunch of rapists and slavers. I consider myself the worst of the evils.
I don't remember which side I chose during my original playthrough, but I've done them all during successive playthroughs. None of them are all that difficult for most players. I think the best decision is just being a little selfish.
I decided to take the strip for myself because I did't like any of the other factions. It was nice to have the entire strip to myself and not have to listen to anyone else. Mr. House was an old fool, I saw right through his lies.
