Which race do they really design armor around?

Some armors, Like t6 warrior for example, look really decent on most races........ But on a panda or goblin they look distorted and like they shouldn't be wearing that. Shoulders too small, oversized helms, shoes that look like they've been run over by a steamroller........ All I want to know is which race do they design armor around.... initially

I think they design on humans, because they are the easiest to design around (for obvious reasons lol...). They are proportionally pretty perfect for testing armor and weapons for the other races.

The art team has said in the past that they design the armor around the human model. It's actually one of the main reasons that a lot of my characters are human. I can't stand all of the clipping on armor and shoulderpads that are either way too big or way too small on other races.

I think they design most of the sets around humans because this is the kind of figure almost every race has. It's also the nicest to see details because they tend to be longer.
Dwarves are squished together so I don't think it's a good idea to design for that race.
They'll also design newer sets for newer races.

For most MMO's they design the basic human design first and then modify it for the other races because human's are an easy starting point.

Yes, this is the main reason I choose human for most of my characters.
