I've always been more of an aggressor so I would often pick the warrior. I may seem like the cliche class but I don't care, I love using a powerful sword and strong shield when I go to battle. I have a sense of balance when I have something to defending myself with and something for attacking. What's your favorite class in Diablo?
For me it was mostly about the paladin. I always like the paladin class, a type of holy warrior who goes into battle in shining armor and with huge swords. Always played a hammerdin in D2.
Necromancers are very fun to play, but they still can't beat the paladin in PVM. It's a very safe build for hardcore though.
Paladin was my favourite class in Diablo 2 only because it was very tanky and it had incredible amounts of damage.
I like the barbarian class in D3 because of what you said how he's balanced with a shield to defend himself with and a sword to attack others with. I also like the aoe abilities the barbarian has, its very useful in the cellars when it seems like the whole place is trying to attack you.
I miss the Necromancer on D2. It's disappointing that D3 doesn't have this class. Anyway, I like melee characters too so I always go with the barbarian for my first character.
For Diabo 1 and 2, I played range, but came Diablo 3 and I fancied a Barbarian. The multiple attacks and massive amount of defensive powers make the battles look epic and glorious. I found this about my overall gaming habits as well. That as I got older, the more inclined I am to play melee characters rather than ranged or spell casters. I think it has to do with my lack of patience these days.
