Who is too strong right now?

I personally think that the game is in a good state for most champions. I think they need to revert some or all of the zhonyas nerfs because my favorite champions are ap and those champions that build one earlier on are weaker because they require more gold. Right now ad champions are better than most ap champions because of the item difference in cost and items but due to this teams tend to be full ad.

Not sure who's OP right now, but a few patches ago warlord's mastery and guinsoo hybrid champs used to be really obnoxious. You are dead on point on zhonya though, and not only that, but how they practically gutted all AP items, and that comes after I played AP mages for the entire season 5, now they feel so weak.

I think Mundo and Quinn is still OP in patch 5.24 as the nerfs that have been made don't quite address the overwhelming strengths they have. Mundo still deals a lot of damage (sometimes even outdamaging the ADCs and APCs) while being insanely tanky. Quinn outtrades almost everyone in lane and the lead that she almost surely will get transitions her to mid game where she pretty basically 3 shots everybody.

I don't think Quinn is that overpowered.. I mean, she was the same before the updates but no one played her. If you play smart she's easily beatable.

Illaoi is just downright scary right now. The amount of damage she can deal with a few well-placed tentacles is crazy – and since tentacles all deal splash damage, you can even delete more than one enemy at once.

Well, it does depend on who you play. I tried playing as Jax against Quinn, and I couldn't even take a minion without having her remove a quarter of my health. Her ability to whittle down lane opponents is unbelievable.

Because that is a counter. I mained Quinn before the patch (played her mid and top) and no melee character was able to get near me, let alone trade equally. She's a lane bully.

Since you main Quinn, who do you think is the best adc that counters quinn? As far as I know of, the best way to counter her is to get all in supports like thresh and alistar.

So in your previous comment you stated that if you play right she's 'easily beatable'. But then in this comment you state that no melee was able to get near you or trade equally. So is she easily beatable or balanced at the moment?

Well, as a melee you obviously have to wait until you get items and just outfarm her. Wait for ganks and everything is gonna be fine, as long as you play smart you should be able to beat her. I'd say she's a little bit OP, but you have to know how to use her to dominate.

I think tanky/cc-heavy supports are great in order to beat Quinn, but I always hate playing with her against ADCs with high mobility like Ezreal or Vayne. Strong duelists/high mobility are her kryptonite.

Quinn is really average, dudes. If you put a broken Lucian against her she would still be defeated. Her kit really doesn't make sense, and her ultimate is just not suitable given the current meta.

    Mundo though... is a monster.

@FuZyOn Yeah, well, those are good if you play Quinn top lane, but a support usually can't beat an ADC that much. It's up to the enemy ADC to crush his enemy, not support's. Whenever I play support, I try not to interfere much in their fight. Last thing I want is to feed. :D

Well, then you're playing support wrong! You need to be up there and zone your enemy as much as possible, so your ADC can be protected and do a lot of damage. Quinn/Lucian are easily beatable with CC chaining.

I don't think Lucian is as strong as you make him up to be. He is excellent in the laning phase, and a kill or two really gets him off. However, if he doesn't do well in the laning phase, he basically does very little damage and tanks just destroy him in mid game.

I don't know about any strong champs as of right now but I can tell you about the broken one's. Malzahar is REALLY broken at the moment. Early game against him isn't to bad but he has a very good laning phase. I was playing ALL-IN-ONE with Zyra and man I couldn't even kill him because he literally absorbed all my spells like it was nothing. And his pets are just op, they chase after you and melee attack you and they're hard to kill unless they run into the tower.

Nobody's "too strong" in games. They are just "easier" to use. Any good character with enough items, a team with enough teamwork, and a counter hero can easily beat any of these strong characters. You can't just pick a "strong" character and expect to win the game. You still have to farm, get the right items, participate in ganks, and all that. So I really don't think there's a strong one, and the meta right now is fine, because it makes teams think and cooperate more to take down beast characters who are deemed too strong.

Maybe on this patch that might hold true, with the possible exception of Malzahar being borderline too strong. Think back to patch 4.20 and remember how broken Warwick was though. I don't think it's possible to say that "Nobody's too strong in games" because he was able to 1 shot someone every 40 seconds if he had some CDR.

I feel like the game is pretty balanced at the moment. No one really feels too strong and if you lose it's usually because they have a counter or you just played badly that match.

Malzahar is a extremely powerful if played the right way. The ap ratings are awesome and you'll be able to kill some champions with just a straight combo if done right. For me, one of the best mid's right now.
