Who or what introduced you to Minecraft?

It was my cousin who first introduced me to Minecraft. I remember hearing a lot about Minecraft before I started playing it, but I always ignored it because I didn't like the graphics. Little did I know that it is such an awesome game. I am so glad my cousin got me into Minecraft.

 

I just heard about it from one of my friends in middle school. I thought about playing it and eventually played the cracked version. After trying it out, I liked it and I bought it.

 

It was my friend who got me into Minecraft roughly two years ago. I was originally putted off by the graphics but he was intent on getting me to play it. So I did... Actually, I liked it a lot more than I expected to. It really goes to show that graphics aren't everything in the game. Although, there are times where I wish the game wouldn't be so... pixelated. Still good fun though

 

The internet recommended this great sandbox game a few years ago. I played it in-browser, and got bored of it since all you did was run around in this seemingly blocky world.

Boy, was I wrong about being bored with it.

 

No one in particular really. But my first encounter with Minecraft was when I watched this video on Youtube from Corridor Digital and they made a Minecraft vid which is awesome. I never really dabbled into Minecraft when I first heard about it. But one day I decided to give it a go and before I knew it I was mining diamonds.

 

I was watching a youtube user called "DavidX" if I remember correctly, he had a lets play minecraft series. He was a pretty soft spoken person who cared about designing buildings to look good but serve a purpose, and just watching his first night of survival and how he later built up a fortress was really interesting. I loved the progression, it felt like an RPG

 

I had stumbled on Minecraft some years ago, when my then-gf asked me to try it. I thought it was pretty lame and browser-based gaming wasn't my thing. Then in the duration of 2012, my cousin kept talking about it and one day, I just bought it. I was looking for a game for awhile then and MC was bought in haste. However, it was definitely worth it.

 

My friend who moved schools came to visit our school and he was playing it. That was the first time I saw someone playing Minecraft haha.

 

A few of my friends introduced me to Minecraft, but before that I usually made fun of Minecraft without actually giving it a try. I would say stuff like "That game is stupid" Or "That game is for babies". I was wrong though as the moment I started playing the game I became addicted to it. It brought back memories of playing with legos.

 

Nice story! I found out about minecraft when my friends told me about it. They even played it in from of me on a computer, and told me how awesome it was. I naturally fell in love with the game, but it was some time before I got it, so I browsed minecraft wiki instead of doing nothing.

 

I got it as a gift from a friend, I had expressed interest in trying it out. I never really got much into the game, but I mess around a bit every once in a while...

 

When I first saw minecraft, I thought it was boring and looked outdated. What started getting me to actually play was watching a few youtubers. Their commentary was funny, and after watching them play, I found myself wanting to play as well. This is also how I got introduced to mod packs as well!

Hey, guess what? I myself started liking minecraft much more after watching youtubers! The person who I watched is called seananners. He probably is one of the earliest minecraft let's play makers. His lets play started in alpha. He discontinued it a long time ago though.

 

It was myself. I'm judging people fast. In the beginning, I thought Minecraft was for losers. When Minecraft started to become really popular, after the alpha and beta were over, I bought it for sh*ts and giggles. I started playing it and really enjoyed it. I found an awesome server and had a lot of fun. It's amazing how much fun you can have when playing such a simple game.

 

Youtube. I saw a Let's Play and I loved watching these two players panic as it turned into night time and they built a quick dirt shack to hide in. I thought it was a lot of fun watching them gather resources and them building so freely with them. It seemed like a lot of fun. So, I got the game for myself and started playing it. I remember being so scared of mining so I never bothered with it. I just built stuff out of what I found on the surface.

Also, my friend found out I played Minecraft so he helped me out a bit. He told me about Creepers and how if I heard a hissing sound I was pretty much dead. Thing is, to me, the sound spiders make sounded like hissing. I got nervous when I heard so many spiders outside my cave-home.

 

I heard of the concept from a friend's student. The kid was hooked on the game, and I was curious as to why. Now I know.

 

I heard about it from my friends but I actually started watching minecraft let's play videos on YouTube because I didn't have it and my parents didn't really want to get it fire me. I loved those. I watched Seanannners minecraft videos. They were the best.

 

I saw some memes about herobrine and I started to Google about him and then I found out he was linked to a game called Minecraft so I checked out some gameplay if it and then decided that it looked fun so I just brough it

 

Reddit. I bought an account when Minecraft was still in beta. Played a TON back then, lost interest for awhile. Currently I'm more of a "binge" player. I wont play for a couple of months but then i do pick it back up, I've been known to spend hours and hours at a time.
