Why I'm interested in ESO 3-Way Alliance PvP

If you've heard about the planned ESO Alliance PvP, then you're probably already familiar with mechanics if you play Guild Wars 2.

Guild Wars 2 has a gameplay mode that mixes PvP and PvE into a massive scale, server-against-server PvP called World vs World (WvW). WvW works by pitting 3 servers against each other in weekly matches across four world maps. Basically, the server with the most points at the end of the week wins that matchup. Points are generally accumulated throughout a week through tower/keep captures, stealing resource nodes called camps, and killing players. There's a lot more to it, of course, but that's WvW in a nutshell.

Now there are two things that I hate about GW2 WvW that I hope ESO would be able to work out. One is the massive server lag whenever there's massive battles on a map. The lag could be so horrible that skills would only work 30 seconds after you use them, not to mention the problem of rubber-banding, i.e. 'teleporting' all around the place because of the connection. Another big problem I have with GW2 is the dearth of strategy -- most matches you could win just by having more people than the other server.

I'm really hoping that ESO could provide a better experience in its planned large-scale battles. If they can address these two issues, then I'm sold.
