I'm talking only about the PC gamers here - will your PC be able to run this game to its full potential, or at least medium?
Until we find out exactly what those specifications are, it'll be difficult to say. But we can still speculate. I have an Intel i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00 GHz with 8 GB of RAM and an AMD HD 6800 series video card. Will that be enough? Everything I've found online (nothing official yet) tells me that it may not be enough on some sites, but other ones tell me I'm over the minimum requirements. I suppose time will tell once Ubisoft releases the official details. Honestly, the PC requirements will decide which platform I will be buying it on. If the game is going to look crappier on my PC than on my Xbox One, I'll go X1.
Not to sound mean but that graphics card is extremely terrible let's hope you can just barely run the game in lowest of all settings. More than likely though you will need to upgrade, its 2015 man!
Awww you hurt my video card's feelings! Hehehe, it's all good. I suspected that I'd need to upgrade soon and this just confirms it. Looking it up, my card is from 2010... It's crazy how quickly time flies. This probably means I'll need a new power supply too, since those usually go hand-in-hand.
Yeah, that card needs a replacement ASAP and you don't need to splurge a lot of money. Something like a GTX 750 TI should do the job and it's in the price range of ~150. That card should play most games at medium at least.
Yes, I've built this year my new gaming rig so it definetly runs it maybe not a ultra setting with 60fps staticly but almost I guess.
I'll definitely have to keep my eyes open for deals. Do you think a GTX 750 TI would mean I'd need a new power supply too? If I add a new video card + a new power supply... I might as well get it for Xbox One. That's the only issue with PC gaming, you do kind of have to stay on top of your hardware. It's not a bad thing necessarily, it's just an extra layer of effort vs. sticking a disc in an Xbox, hehehe.
I'm hoping for 30 fps all maxed out, honestly. With Ubisoft you never know what you'll get. I have a new gaming rig that runs basically anything that is around these days, but anything can happen with these kinds of games.
Not really, it depends on your current PSU - the GTX 750 TI isn't too much of a power hog. You can go over to http://www.pcpartpicker.com/ to make sure your PSU can handle all your hardware.
Wow, that's a really helpful site. Thanks for sharing, I'll definitely use it once I get home and I can punch in all of my hardware. I love how we don't even need to figure this stuff out anymore. True, but you should be OK if you've got a fairly recent rig (which it sounds like you do). It's always a chance you take when it comes to PCs, that's one of the advantages of a console, although you usually sacrifice graphic and performance quality.
Also, if you're looking to build a good pc and you have no idea where to start I suggest you go to the subreddit /r/buildapc on reddit, there should be a lot of helpful content and hardware information to decide on!
Ha! Probably not. My PC is as old as time itself. Well not really but it gets the job done with a couple of fans and some tweaking. But I think if I wanted to play this game on my PC, I'd probably have to pick a new graphics card since my GT 540 isn't really cutting it. Poor thing can barely pull off a decent frame rate in Saints Row IV and that games' graphics looks outdated.
Honestly, I wish I never started reading this thread, I've got an I5, with HD6800 and 6G of ram. I'm below the minimum specs for quite a few games that I run with no problems, but I know I will have to improve my Graphics card this year. Every new update of my favourite games makes my tired old dinosaur of a computer groan more and make alarming clicking noises. I'm going to have to buy a new graphics card soon or I'll need to start keeping a fire-extinguisher on stand-by.
Haha, it's crazy that we have practically the same system! Welcome to the outdated system club! I honestly think we're due for a new graphics card. Start hunting for deals.
GTA5 was mostly okay on my computer. Problem was that I had to play with a lowered resolution due to the 1GB VRAM and an older video card (NVidia 550ti). Also played it in a window and the settings were roughly low-to-medium. Considering this, The Division may give me a harder time, if I ever decide to get it. However, by the time I get it, I will most likely already have a 4GB VRAM video card. My PC specs are fine on their own.
Well I have 2 GTX 980's at my disposal so this game better run like butter on a hot pan otherwise I have to play it on my Xbox. Has Ubisoft released the system requirements for this game yet? I haven't seen any info about that yet, most of them are just approximations but I hope it's not crazy high like in Assassin's Creed Unity.
I hope so. My PC is not the best when it comes to games but it gets the job done and it has never let me down ever since so I think I can manage to run this game at least a decent 40 FPS on medium to high settings, that is if Ubisoft doesn't mess up the optimization.
I think they want to avoid the Assassin's Creed Unity incident as much as they can. It'll probably run decently.
They should, I mean come on, when I played it on PC which is running a 980, I thought the frame rate would be smoother, I mean it is but in some areas in the game, the frame rate stutters almost noticeably which is very shocking considering how much fire power my card has.
I don't think that mine will at all. My computer has been really struggling with the sheer quantity of graphics and textures that the newer games have been using and so I will probably pick the game up for my PS4. At least this way I know that Ubisoft's record of bad PC port's won't be an issue and that my computer won't fail me.
