So, who has had their wisdom teeth out? I just got mine out a few days ago, and I am getting driven insane by the stitches in my mouth! Also, lol I do NOT want to eat because of them.

Anyone got any coping mechanisms? Also, I gotta go back to work (I'm a cashier so I have to talk pretty much CONSTANTLY) this Saturday, and I am not looking forward to it.

Eat plenty of cold stuff, or cold pudding as I did when I got mine pulled a couple of years ago. My brother annoyed the hell out of me by eating junk food that he knew I liked in my face, but since I could still eat soft foods, I just jacked his ice cream that he thought no one knew about:p

I got mine out in high school when I had to wear braces. Yeah it's pretty painful alright but it's part of becoming an adult, right? Get your share of ice cream and pain killers if you can and sleep it off in the weekend I promise you'll feel better. :)

When I was about 10 one was impacted with a 12 year molar in my gum and they were both trying to come up. I'm not sure which was more painful, the impaction or the oral surgery.

I got mine out about two weeks ago. I got all four out at once. The worst part is for the bottom wisdom teeth, I didn't get any stitches or anything to help the healing. It was just a giant, gaping hole and it still is for now. I'm still recovering, but all the pain is finally gone. I also got dry sockets, which really sucked for awhile. But I'm really happy to say that it's pretty much all over now. :p

Am I the only one here who still has all of his teeth in? LOL

My wisdom teeth aren't actually all out, but I never had issues with any of my teeth, guess I'm just very lucky.

Oh, I am sorry. I have had my wisdom teeth out, but if I had stitches they must have resolved. I had not problems at all recovering or eating afterwards.
