Work right at launch?

With all of these hit games lately having many problems at launch (GTA V, Sim City), I was wondering what we may be getting at launch for ESO? I expect the servers will be down for a few hours, maybe more, but could we face a problem where the game is unplayable for a few days, maybe a week? I really hope it all goes smoothly, but these days it never goes right.

It doesn't have to be that way if they really took what they learned during beta to heart. For example, the 1-year beta before Guild Wars 2 launched made sure that there were no significant snags at the start. The Trading Post was down during the first week, but this did not really have an impact on the core game.

I would like to point out though that with ESO's high subscription fee on top of buying the base game (not to mention all the other requisite expense for console gamers) they'd better have a worry-free launch.

Hopefully they can learn enough from the beta in order to make a proper launch. But most games do have some problems so I'd be surprised if ESO didn't.

The issue is that beta launches never fully test the systems like an actual launch. They can work out the kinks, but servers can only handle so much. Besides, I almost feel like sites purposely go down to ensure that people are more eager to get onto it. Which I find to be stupid - why not just launch an awesome product that people will speak positively about?

Lets just hope it will be a successful launch. It doesn't really about the launch in my opinion. It's about the game.
