I had no idea a World of Warcraft movie was happening, but it looks like it is. Duncan Jones, known for the hit movie, Moon. This can only be a promising thing as I loved Moon and if someone can do a good job, I imagine he can.

They announced it and the source made it sound like the teaser looked promising ,I remember the forum I went to post literally blow up with people tried to find if there's any leak video of the teaser but nope. All I'd say is I just hope they release the teaser in Blizzcon. I also hope they do it with CGI instead of real person then it probably would b e pretty good.

I've been hearing those rumours for a while now, I wasn't not sure what I should believe. I hope it turns out to be an awesome movie, Warcraft is full of wonderful characters.

I'm concerned about how they're going to fit such an expansive world/story into 2 hours. I don't doubt that the visuals will be amazing, but the plot may seem derivative. Many people have spent large percentages of their lives playing WOW and creating some pretty epic items/quests/characters. I'm just not sure that the film will live up to these individual's hopes.

Mostly, I am worried about the Brad Pittifying that will likely occur. I do not want another World War Z experience.

Crap plot and famous actors do not equal good movie. Stop ruining things I enjoy, Hollywood.

Honestly, I thought this was announced half a decade ago. What's with all the new hype?

Most likely everyone heard about it again from a podcast or blog, and it took off from there. First I heard about it was from the podcast The Instance a few months back.

Sounds promising. Moon was a pretty good movie and I have faith in this director to give us something worthwhile. I searched the web for some more info, and found out that it only has a 100 million dollar budget, for some reason that really sounds like a low amount for a movie of this scale. Would you agree?

I have my doubts about it because they're trying to make it easy to grasp so people that are not fammiliar with the game can enjoy the movie.
Considering Blizzard I don't think that it can be a bad movie at all though.

There's been rumours about this World of Warcraft movie for a while, from what I've heard they're not releasing it until 2016 though? Pretty crazy, I don't think it was that good of an idea to announce it that far off. I just hope Blizzard and WoW continues to go strong so there is some interest for the movie. Hopefully it will breathe some new life into WoW too.

I don't know how they're going to make the movie all that successful, with so many different story lines they can play off of. Will be interested to see what direction they'll go in and the trailer as it gets closer to the release date.

I hope that this isn't a complete bust, as I think it could have some major potential.

I'm more curious whether it's going to be a movie like let's say 47 ronin or it's going to be animated like their trailers. To be honest I'd love to see a full movie similar to their trailers. They are just epic.
For those of you that are wondering I'm talking about these trailers :
Click on 12:29 and just look how the orc looks... can it be more realistic? I'd seriously love to see a full movie looking like this even better if it's 3D :D

I remember being hyped about this literally 6 or 7 years ago, that movie has been in early stages of development for a really long time. And I should note something, it's supposedly not really a World of Warcraft movie, but a Warcraft one, probably taking place in the events around the Humans versus Orcs lore, which is not too bad of a topic, but don't expect a bunch of races appear or seeing the world as you are used to in WoW.

Well it's only logical that if they start filming they do it from the beginning. Warcraft was first to come out and after all the whole story starts from there, but we should bear in mind that Warcraft have all the main the races that Mists of Pandaria have till now. I'm talking about pandas for example(not a playable race, but everyone know the Pandaren Brewmaster from TFT).
The truth is there is soo much they can do that there is almost zero chance of guessing from where they will start :D.
If I had to make a wild guess it would be from Reign of Chaos since the storyline sort of starts from there.

I'm actually pretty excited to see what this turns into. If Blizzard is good at anything, it's making cinematics for their games. They have great art direction and imagination. Love the Warcraft universe as well.

I agree. Their cinematics are simply epic ALWAYS. Since the first time I saw one I've always asked myself since they can make a 2-3 minute videos like this why not make a full movie? I'd bet anything that people who don't even like Warcraft would go and watch it simply because there has never been a movie similar to this.

True. It's probably the only consistent thing Blizz has done with WoW since the game came out. Also, a big plus for them is they DO have an abundance of storylines they can follow. As long as they don't try to squeeze everything into 1 movie, they should have plenty of content to make an intriguing story

I don't see a WoW movie being made, but if their was one I most likely wouldn't see it just because I don't know the story and never really played the game so watching the movie would be confusing to me.

I doubt I'll go see it in case they ruin it. I don't want all that respect for Warcraft going down the drain.
