Some years ago I have played World of Tanks. It was a pretty good game. Later the same company released World of Warplanes, and World of Warships.

I wonder if anyone had tried the latter two? Are they any good? How far did the technology go? I am quite interested in modem warships, not sure if the game actually offer that level of technology... as World of Tanks only reached 1950s tech as top tier.

I have not tried any of the World of games yet, but I would be really curios about this as well. Always wanted to try them. Do they compare to other massive war games like Battlefield and such?

The only thing I have played was World of Tanks. I was actually quite good at it, joined a clan and helped to conquer the world.

The difference between World of Tanks and Battlefield series is quite simple. World of Tanks is focused on tank only. It involves a lot of tank knowledge as well as tank combat knowledge, such as you can position your tank in an angle when facing enemy tank with your frontal armor, and it give your an edge due to 1. frontal armor is the thickest, 2. when placing it in an angle, it gives extra thickness to your armor and make it harder for enemy shells to penetrate. And when enemy shells bounce off your armor, you take 0 damage for that hit. It makes things so much more interesting and take more skills to do well in combat.

Battlefield series have more than just tank battles, but also aircraft, jeeps, infantry, as well as boats, ships. While it has more choices, its tank battle isn't as sophistic as WOTs. Getting hit in the front or rear is all the same with or without an angle. Enemy shells will always hurt you.

I guess World of Airplanes and World of Ships are also similar to World of Tanks in term of combat since they are all from the same company.

I just wish where they can make one Battlefield style game where you can have tanks, aircraft, ships, infantry, etc. all on one battlefield, but also with all the more sophistic combat mechanism.
