I am extremely excited for Ryse, pre-ordered and am ready to go for the 22nd. I watched a lot of the videos, and I always see a sword/shield combo in both the campaign as well as multiplayer. I understand that you can 'customize' the multiplayer model, but I have heard zero news about unique weapons. I saw a few enemies dual wielding swords, or using a large club, do we have access to that?

I would love to dual wield gladius' but I have a bad feeling that we are going to be limited to sword & board for this game.

61 views and no one has an opinion? I know some of you are also curious about dual wield combat. The vids show the AI dual wielding so I wonder if its a possibilty?

Yes I too am worried.. Dual wielding would be cool but I'm more concerned with variety. they have said absolutely nothing about using anything other then your sword, shield and the spear. This will get very dull.. I certainly hope that you will be able to at least pick up variations of different kinds of swords and shields and spears... I am personally looking forward to using hand axes myself.. would love some nasty decapitation executions with them...

After having played the game, I can tell you guys that there is a reason they didn't tell you anything about it. It is a generic launch title that was made to look pretty so that it could be easily marketed. The swordplay is good fun for about an hour, maybe less, but after a few hours when you realize you're done with the game- trade it in and buy a game the developers are honest about from the start.

Well that's anticlimactic. Guess I'm going to re-evaluate which games I want to get for a Christmas present to myself...
