I always liked random facts or easter eggs about video games. And Since wow is such an old game it has a lot of history to it. Here are a few I have, feel free to chime in with your own.

1 -Tauren is an anagram for "Nature".

2 -Warlocks were able to summon people into battlegrounds, including people out of the level bracket

3 -there is a "click to move" option in WoW. You can click on the spot on the ground, and your character will move to that spot, like in RTS games

4 -There is a huge smiley face below Karazhan.

5 -Wintergrasp was supposed to have aerial combat. You Can see it on the back of the Wrath of the lich king expansion box.

6 -Warlock Succubus pets used to have less clothes, but they added more later.

7 -There were four trinket slots back in wows original alpha build.

    I have some
    - In the original WoW alpha undead were able to speak with Alliance
    - In the original WoW beta Druids lacked a battle ressurection. Shamans had it but it was given to druids because of the unfairness it would cause to the alliance.
    - Undead's racial Will of the Forsaken actually used to be a passive buff that made them immune to fears, sleep and etc.
    - Wands didn't autoshoot. You had to click every time you wanted it to shoot.
    - Mages had a version of rogue's lockpicking.
    - The rarest WoW mount in the game is the Fluorescent Green Mechanostrider that was given to a person by a GM when he restored his account.

Old Ironforge, while always actually in the game was closed off until patch 4.1, but you could still access it by glitching through a wall in Stormwind.

Many of the guards in the game sometimes respond to certain emotes, such as /chicken, /salute, or /eye

In beta of Vanilla, Warlocks could wear leather and use shields. Not many people knew that one LOL ;)

That's a great list of fun facts. I didn't know a lot of them. I saw the smiley face once on my minimap though.

I never noticed the smiley face when I played it. Was it available in the vanilla version or it was only added in later versions? I thought "click to move" was a common thing because it was what I used to play WoW.

Click to move has almost always been around. It was implemented in a very early patch.

How about this one: It the warcraft games (pre WOW - I think it was warcraft III) , there were 4 separate factions. The alliance, the horde, the night elves and, the undead. I don't think the horde ever aligned themselves with the undead.

Dang, that would have been NUTS if they kept this in. Those vanilla days were crazy!

I also forgot about the undead racial being passive. That'd be so insane these days. You wouldn't see anything but Undead's in arena.

Are there any creepy secret locations in the game? I'd like to go somewhere like a town or village that is known for being spooky.

There are so many random facts concerning WoW that it's nearly impossible to list or know about every single one of them. That's part of the magic of the game.

I read somewhere that the man-hours that people played WOW the first year was more than the man-hours it took to build the pyramids. People have played wow like billions of hours total.

Some of the stuff from early vanilla was just crazy. I mean even know if you tell most players there was a time when Hunters had to carry arrows they wouldn´t believe you. Or that AHs used to all be seperate, so like the Ogrimmar AH was not connected to any other city.
