Wukon top

    Hi guys, how do you see Wukong top? On Mobafire the builds relies pretty much on the jungle side while I've seen a very few builds about top role. I've been playing Wukong top for quite a while now and I must admit that it's super cool until you found a range based champ that can counter you.

    Wukong can do fine top, with built in armor-pen he can swat at tank/armor rushing style top champs and still do okay. However he does have his issues, anyone that can get in and give it to him, then retreat quickly can be difficult. One of Wukong's hardest challenges is Renekton. He is such a lane bully with stuns, minion clear, and engage and disengage, along with an HP steroid and persistent AOE, Wukong just cannot match him, if both are playing at peak performance for the champion that is. Wukong can't sustain through the lane like Renekton can.

    Then again, Wukong can be of much more use if played correctly, following into mid and late game. His ultimate can be the downfall of an entire enemy team, coupled with a Yasuo, or a Rumble, Malphite, Vlad, etc. It can be very devastating.

    He works good top, brutalizer/hydra rush and he's really annoying to deal with it the person knows how to use his clone properly to get off his combo without taking any damage. I hate dealing with wukongs because of that stupid escape, making me waste money on a pink ward some times.

    I'm sometimes that terrible human being terrorizing with Wukong, but he's not perfect. Skilled players can definitely counter whatever you throw at them, if they know what they're doing.

    I see him top lane or jungle. He's really strong for both. His team fight potential is really great, and his 1v1 ability is not bad either.

    He's pretty strong, though through the middle to late game he really starts to lack, especially on damage. He's more of a hybrid, if you ask me: good on start, bad toward the ending of the game.

    I've been playing Wukong for a long time now and I feel like to master it a bit now. Basically I'm build it straight away with the sword and potions and spawn and the try to reach strength+atk speed and some tankyness.

    He's pretty good early but I don't think he fits the tank-focused meta that's going on right now. He gets outclassed by a lot of champions and if he doesn't get some kills early then he's borderline useless after.

    Top lane, he's decent with the current meta, but if he's put to face Mundo or Hecarim... oh, God, I don't even want to imagine the struggle. His ultimate would be cast in vain.

    He is better in jungle than top in this meta, honestly. He doesn't stand a chance against those bruisers which are popular.

    It's a pretty solid pick. My friend only used him there last season and got to platinum from bronze. Pretty easy to play and hard to counter.

    I like wukong top, he dont have the best lane, but even if he goes 0/10 he can provide so much with his ult in team fights. If on the other hand gets a lead he is a force to reckon with.

    With his built in armor pen, he could be a fine top. It's just a matter of playing him the right way. He can still be pretty valuable all across the board, even if he doesn't have a specific lane he's great at.

    his combo strength is pretty phenomenal. Again it is a matter of using him the right way. He certainly has the capabilities of being a great top.

    Wukong is a great top laner, especially if you can juke properly with him. He can be incredibly aggressive in early levels and can put so much pressure on the enemy laner that he would have to retire to refill his HP.
    Also if he gets fed, he is a big threat to enemy carries, otherwise, he will just ult and knock everyone up, so he has an utility either way.
