WoW has gone through many changes over the years. These changes has fortunately AND unfortunately included dungeons. So from this, which dungeons over the years did you enjoy going into the most and also the least enjoyable?

Do you like the old dungeons or the new changed ones?

I generally preferred the smaller short and sweet dungeons. Things like the deadmines are very linear and (before the dungeon finder) were usually easy to find people interested in grouping.

I dislike the longer ones and the ones where you had to talk to 3 or 4 NPCs all over the world to pick up all the quests at once. The wailing cavers was long and it was often difficult to find a group that would stick with it.

My favorites (classically) were the ones in Orgrimmar and Stormwind when playing the opposing faction. The dungeons were nothing, but getting there was a challenge.

I'd have to say my favorite dungeons were the ICC ones, they were so difficult, but when I completed all three of them for the first time, I felt like I conquered the whole game because they were so difficult. I don't think there has been a dungeon anywhere close to the difficulty of those three dungeons since or before the Lich King expansion.

Now my least favorite dungeon would have to be Sunken Temple in classic because it's so large, complex, and really doesn't give great rewards for completing it. Even in classic, I hated this dungeon because the drops sucked, the place took hours to complete, and when I was done, I just wanted to go to sleep, lol.

I was about to say that Sunken Temple had an interesting puzzle element to it. It was the only dungeon that had that sort of thing and I think it was Blizzard's way of using it as an experiment. I believe they could have refined it over time and made it more usable, rather than annoyingly confusing. However, it was heaven for skinners.

I have to agree that WC was a pain for the first few years and going back to play it again recently after a long break, it felt somewhat confusing still. It was one of those super annoying dungeons where people kept leaving.

I really liked the ICC ones though. They had a balance of challenge and length.

You're right that the Sunken Temple was a great place for skinners, but it was so darned confusing is why I disliked it so much. You're also right in the fact that it could've been very exciting with the puzzle, but too many people are jerks and kept leaving when I played it in classic and BC. WC also is still pretty annoying even in the new style where blizzard incorporated maps for the dungeons, this place is still so confusing it still sucks.

It's rather annoying how every dungeon nowadays is the same exact thing. No fight mechanics or planning needed at all. UBRS back in the day was quite a lot of fun and probably might favorite to run through. It gave you some sense of accomplishment because you needed to coordinate CC perfectly and you needed to have some idea of how to do the fights.

Sunken Temple was so awesome. You literally had to put your brains to work to solve that one. And Bosses were also interesting. The one I also liked was the one in Desolace, can't remember it's name, I went there a long time ago. Crocodile boss scared the hell out of me, because I suddenly fell to that river. I died there first time, and later on, after Crocodile was dead, Princess gave me a hard time with those blasts of her. What a Princess though... such a pretty, yuck.

Wailing caverns before they changed it up. You had to know your way around, and I got lost in there more than once. That is the fun part, getting lost. I used to make bank too, selling "of the fang" gloves to twinks.

I've now soloed my way through most of the dungeons, up to Cataclysm (I still have a couple of Catalcysm ones to try). One thing that surprised me is how difficult it is to solo the old raids. I can solo some of them (like Molten Core and Karazhan), but most of them I can't get through all the way on my own. Which I was disappointed in because I really wanted to kick some raid boss butt by myself.

I think my favorite dungeon is the refurbished, Cataclysm version of Deadmines (especially the heroic version), or the Mists Scholomance.

Both are just very pleasant both aesthetically and in terms of gameplay, so you might say I enjoy the refurbished ones a bit more than the old ones.
