Your favorite HOTS champion, and why

My favorite HOTS champion is Murky! I love the animation and the look of the toon. It just brings back a lot of good memories of WoW. Unlike most players, I don't really worry so much about play style and skills and all that. I pick the one I like and just force myself to like the abilities. Worth it for me, in the end, because not only am I well versed with that particular set of abilities, but I can look cute while doing it.

 

I had the most fun playing as Artanis on Heroes of the Storm. He just feels a lot more mobile than other warriors due to his skill and talent sets. Artanis also has a unique way of going about his tankiness with his passive skill, which generates a temporary but substantial shield when his health dips below 50%, and whose cooldown can be reduced with his auto-attacks, which is why, unless the enemy can deal a lot of damage to penetrate his shielding, you may sometimes see an Artanis holding his ground against two or three enemy members with a sliver of health protected by a thicker shield bar.

One of Artanis's other skills, Phase Prism, is a skill shot that allows him to set up a body-block with ease by switching places with an enemy if landed right. It can also be used as a means of escape when you find yourself body-blocked by an enemy: simply swap positions with them and you're home free.

I've only played Artanis the few times he's been one of the free heroes of the week, and hopefully, I will be bothered to save up enough gold for him and have my way with him as much as I want, so to speak

 

I generally prefer the assasin or specialist heroes, they always seem to have more diverse options and a more dynamic playstyle than tanks or support.

I really can't name my favourite hero in the game but I do play a lot with Nova, Jaina, Li Ming and Valla.

 

I like specialist characters in general the most. I just love being able to clear waves and camps quickly and taking control of the map. Being able to push a lane in and destroy towers even when my team is losing team fights always appealed to me so I've always liked that type of hero.

If I had to pick one, I'd probably go with Sylvanas with Zagara being a close second. I feel like they can both push lanes and clear waves pretty effectively while still contributing to team fights and other parts of the game well.

 

It has to be Johanna for me:



She has three primary abilities:

• Punish
• Condemn
• Shield Glare

She is a warrior. She can withstand attacks and can distrupt the other team with her stuns and pulls. I love her background as well as her skins. Plus, she looks so pretty, doesn't she? Lol.

 

Artanis is extremely fun to play with. He's easily one of the more easy characters to play with in terms of movement. It's just a bummer you need a lot of gold to play with him.

 

After reading the description I was sure you were going to mention Sylvanas right off the bat. She is quite fun to play with and using the abilities correctly makes her not a horrible choice for team fights, while still being pretty much the best wave clearer/fort destroyer in the game.

 

Rehgar is my favourite because of his good healing output and slow and invaluable ability just because of hi wolf forms.He is truly a game changer.He is my favourite of all.

 

Nova, since she's hot :3

Yeah I play nova alot... not necessarily because she is hot but more because I just love the quick damage output that she gets with the right choice in talents.

 

I like Nova a lot just because she is easy to play atleast for me, I've had quite a trouble with other champions because they don't fit the playstile I really enjoy and so Nova does and that's the champion I really play from time to time when I'm into hot, I'll start trying more champions really soon.

 

I wouldn't say Nova is exactly easy to play, mainly because she is useless against the minions and forts. It really makes things harder for your team when one character is at such a disadvantage at one area of the game.

Basically you are pure hero vs hero with Nova, so you need to get results in order for your team to keep up.

 

I love ETC. A friend of mine showed me the band itself back in 2008. I liked them immediately because they combine two of my favorite things: tauren and metal. The same goes for ETC in HoS. I just love that champion and I really enjoy playing him.

 

My favorite is Zagara. She lacks a bit of mobility but she is very powerful and well rounded. I can go around the fact that she is a bit slow so it's not such a problem and it took me a while to get used to this character but once you do get it then it becomes so fun to play.

 

ETC was one of the first heroes I played with and I liked him too in the beginning. I'm not a huge fan of tanks as I like to do some dmg so I rarely play with ETC. Good thing is he costs like 2000 coins so you can grab him really fast.

 

I love Nova because not only she's easy on the eyes but her skills and damage level she gets out there are remarkable.

 

Gazlowe is the undisputed king... But Valla is great too. Valla has the talent "tempered by discipline" which adds 10 more hatred stacks. Each stack gives her lifesteal. In total, if talented, that lifesteal can far outweigh any base defence or merc camp's damage, which means that she also jungles for free. But really, Sonya with her Berzerker ultimate does it easy, for free, and with no mana cost.

 

My favourite was Gazlowe just because I'd like to be the guy that goes on splitpushing solo, but this was an awful strategy. Then again it did work for the longest time so I thought it might be viable, turns out it isn't at the higher brackets of MMR ;p

 

There are quite a few heroes who can basically get those camps on their own late in the game and come out close to full health at the end. Zagara, azmodan, illidan, even zeratul if you pick the "basic attacks heal" trait is pretty good at it. Still better to go together with someone though, makes it so much faster.
