You can't apply one Post-apocalypticplan to all of them you have to develop one for each scenario. I'm guessing you are talking about a zombie apocalypse in which case grab supplies and weaponry then head out in to the hills before things become extreme and everyone heads out to the bush.

 

When I think of Apcolapse, I think of a NBC Hazard or a Govermental Colapse myself

 

nuclear fallout, in wich case I'm stuffed since I live near london and that would be a target. zombie apocalypse, hole up somewhere high, like my house in a first floor with only one easily defendable access, with home made weapons, since at the mo got no access to real ones, and raid the farm at the back of my house and when I run out of supplies, well, then head to the hills, somehow.

 

Indeed. what i think of is an economic collapse or something like that.

What i think about is ransacking everything i could need, get out of the city and wait till the situation is a bit more stable. Then head again to the city, and live off what i find, much like Stalkers do in Metro 2033

 

I'd probably stay at home since from there I would have no problems with water shortage, and maybe go to the nearest town for food supplies until I learned to trap and hunt (actually have a book on that). Guess I would have to learn how to raise crops as well or go for a more nomadic lifestyle.

I find it funny how so many people in the world think that we couldn't function without governments. Look back at the Spanish Communes or the Free Territory of Ukraine; both of these systems functioned without governments and were much better alternatives to what was there before as well as being better than what was installed after their demise. The only reason they came apart is because they were outnumbered by fascists. People can function just fine without governments as long as they know how to properly organize a new system. There would be no apocalypse without governments. Of course, the extent of truth in that statement varies based on the area, time and people we're talking about.

 

The problem is that most of us are not prepared for a government collapse. Were for now dependent on them Due to our dependce on luxury.

 

Indeed. Give a nation all it desires. Give them the finest fruits, sweetest waters and sharpest swords. Answer their every wish and you have a happy nation. But take it all away in one fell swoop and you'll have an angry, hungry, thirsty, armed nation crying for luxury and willing to destroy anything to get it back.

That'd be True.

If the Goverment went bust, then their goes your power, Water, Sewage etc... as who will pay the wages? The only way the Nation would go on is if people re-started these facilities.

But I think down here in NZ, we wouldnt get it to bad if the Goverment just colasped for some odd reason (Like Wellington Dissapairing off the map)

The barracks nearby where I live are sort of a tipping boat: Either I'm killed by WMD or I've got a big ass arsenal within one klick's distance.
So let's say I survive the intial disaster/collapse, I'd go there. From here on, there's a number of scenarios:
If it's a zombie apocalypse, team up with the others I might find there. I assume soldiers are generally good survivors, and the potential for a good companion is high. Stack up on weapons and ammo, then get an armored truck. Drive out into the wild, perhapse towards Siberia, where it is possible to live largely unaffected by the rest of the world.

If we're talking NBC, build a shelter or use existing ones for as long as possible, then move to Moscow (In case we're not seen as public enemies there, it is still more reasonable for me to get nuked by them, than by any other country) and take shelter in the metro.

Global economical collapse: Find trucks, arrange patrols to pick up other survivors, arrange police duties and build a new community. Or simply steal a truck and go far, far away, maybe Siberia is an option again.

 

Bamul, if you're implying that anarchism is a long-term stable form of ruling system then I'm afraid I disagree with you.

Not to derail the thread. I'd probably head to a low population-density area with some bare necessities and survive long enough to see if the damage is repairable. If not... "au revoir", as they say in France.
