I've tried, it absolutely withstands it. I fired off a shot of my G36 two meters away directly to the center of the lense. All there was, was a slight mark from the BB bullet. No crack at all ;) Then again, there are different gas masks with different lenses and different BB bullets and different airsoftguns :p

So recently I noticed, after some unhappiness over the performance, that my King Arms S&W M&P 15 MOE was shooting quite far off, and my buddy had the same problem. Now we're both looking for replacements, and so far he's found a G&P Limited Edition M4 Carbine, and I recently stumbled across this Echo 1 XCR on some Polish website for an (by European standards) outstandingly low price. I quickly looked up some reviews and was pleasantly suprised.

What do you think guys? Is it worth the 1500 DKK/200€ it costs including shipping? I'm actually pretty sure I'll buy it already, but if you can point out something or had bad experiences with this or other Echo 1 products, please tell me :)
EDIT: And in case you are reading, Bamul, can you tell if this website is legit? The price sounds low even compared to other Polish shops.

    ugh those orange flash hiders.....
If your rifle is shooting inaccurately you might try fiddle with the hopup and try to fix it, It could also be because you need to replace the hopup entirely. THat's my humble guess anyway. It will probably be cheaper to try and fix the rifle than buy a new one.

Thanks for the advice pal, but I have actually wanted a new one for some time, and since the new one is cheaper, I will be able to sell the MOE and maybe even earn some profit :)

I don't do airsoft, but already have real firearms. I want to know a bit about airsoft gear though because it usually seems cheaper than 'real' hunting or tactical gear. Is it really of poorer quality or is the 'real gun' gear overpriced? Are there any brands of airsoft gear for pouches or knee pads/elbow pads which you prefer or consider better made?

"china-made" gear are usually a bit cheaper, but they are either surprisingly good quality or shitty as fuck. Most guys I know seems to buy military grade stuff, like MOLLE-vests, and uniforms and stuff, so I wouldn't really konw about any significant price difference

There are well made products available to the Airsofting community that are of pretty good quality (if you buy the right brands). In fact, a lot of companies that make 'real combat or hunting' gear also make there stuff for Airsofting. So I'd say look around a bit and you'll easily find quality gear at slightly lower prices.

Really you don't need much for airsofting. I've got a vest but other than that I just wear some camo clothing. I use a JG g36c. Love the gun. Crane stock and everything.

Sort of. Paintball guns have almost the same velocity (300 fps) but the projectile weighs over 10 times as much, so it should hurt a lot more. But the surface area of the impact is also larger, so per mm of impact it should be about the same.

I got my Echo 1 XCR-L today, and I was quick to outfit it with some attachments:

I got the XCR, including two mags, a charger and a 9,6v 1500 mAh battery for 300 usd - in Europe! Normally european resellers are really expensive, so much kudos to the guys as Specshop.pl. Soon after I got it I went and test-fired it, and so far it is an absolute best (the hop-up doesn't seem to be enough to get the Holosight aligned, though). It is amazing how much gun you can get for 300 USD these days :D
