Am I the only one that likes this game?

I've only played for a few hours but it definitely looks like a fun game. I really wish the AI was a bit better, but everything else is excellent: The graphics, the storyline, etc.
I'll try to play it more the next week.

I love Tera. I played it in beta and I LOVED it. Sadly though I was too broke to afford it later on and now I don't play it because I really hate the free to play model.

The graphics of that game (korean style for the win) is the best I've ever seen. And I don't necessarily mean the most advanced graphics, but very tasteful and detailed. Reminded me a lot of Lineage2 (doh!).

The combat system was very interesting and part of the lore I read seemed decent.

Perhaps I should give it another try... I had forgotten all about Tera for a while there. Darn it, need more time!

Do you guys play EU or NA?

Far from the only one. I find the combat system really refreshing from the typical hotkey based MMO, being incredibly fun and satisfying and dependent on skill. The environment and classes are all unique and varied, with some interesting design ideas and implementations. I liked following the story and the cutscenes are always funny when you're a Popori.

I loved the visuals of it and the combat of the game. The biggest issues i had was the fact that besides grinding quests constantly you would have dungeons and would have to do at least 30-50 runs just for weapons or armor to drop. Then on top of that you have to grind it even more so you can + the armor then when your armor is + high enough you get a new set of armor in a newer dungeon and repeat the process.

I really tried to like this game, but I never got into it. I cannot really put my finger on the cause, but I think it was because there are so many great games out there, single and MMOs, that I just couldn`t find the time for Tera. And I think it does not have enough unique things in it that would draw me to play in favor of those other games.

I messed around with it for a bit but to quote my kid, it is "not my favorite". I am sure I will pop on again in the next week or so and I might have just fluffed it off too quick (it has happened before) but when I started I just was not feeling it.

Agreed. While I did play it a bit, I couldn't find anything to really make me want to stick around. And as someone mentioned, all the running to and fro for the quests made it a little too boring and repetitive for me.

I tried TERA but it just didn't do it for me. I tried to get into it, but for some reason, there just wasn't anything really good or really bad about it. Overall it just wasn't interesting enough and left me feeling kind of meh.

I absolutely love Tera, it controls so smoothly compared to the awkwardness of some other games, like Rift. My only problem with it wasn't the game itself, but the fact that none of my friends got past a certain part of the game, so I'm pretty much alone when I'm playing.

I'd have to say this summarizes Tera fairly well.

You re definitely not the only one who likes this game. The combat is pretty awesome. That's what saves the game in my opinion, but once you play for a couple of hours, you get bored off doing the same thing repeatedly.

Nope, I loved the combat. Probably the best of any game and actually takes a lot of skill.

I quit it though because of the RNG crap at the end game.

Personally, I love this game. Sorceress has always been my weakness. Love using magic class. Mystic was a close second. The only thing I can say about the game that's a negative is that you have to be in the mood to play sometimes. Also, they made solo'ing BAMs easy...too easy. :/

The only thing that is a problem TERA is that the game is badly-optimized. I have a fairly decent computer, but the temps I get when playing the game, and something less intensive is very noticeable. If I get good frames, and the ability to play TERA for an extended amount of time, it would be my favorite game.

It's like that for me in the towns all the time. Ugh, it's annoying! One of the changes I don't get is the animation for the portal now looks more sci-fi rather than fantasy. I saw no problems with this, so don't understand why it was touched!

Oh, if you were talking about patches before, you much know about the Reaper class, right? One of the new classes they added back doing the summer, I think. I'm hoping for a new class for all the races!

Hmm, I don't know the portal change you're talking about. Where are the portals?

I also quit TERA for a couple of months, but since there's a patch that's upcoming in a few weeks, I will start playing it more often. I think reaper class is a bit stupid. Many reapers just mash their spacebar and eventually win. Even in PvP, they don't need specific skill rotations to win. All they do is to start off with a stun and press space until they win. There's also a new class coming that's race-locked unfortunately.

I've played it solo and believe me when I say it's dreadfully boring.
Once you get to the level twenties, and you're playing on a PVP server, you will not be able to get any further because once you get out of town, players will kill you immediately. Unless you're one of those god-like players who have great items and skills, I doubt you'll survive.
I think playing with another person would be more fun than solo,
    1) You actually get to communicate with another person, grind with them, talk to them, do quests with them
    2) You actually level faster together because you clear mobs faster and share the experience

Yeah, grinding is a bit of a pain when you're journeying by youself. It took me some time to try to get to level 40 something with my warrior. (Not good with that class, WHAT SO EVER!)

Anyway, ozadin, the portal changes I mean are the ones where you go to dunegons and zones. If you recall, before a blue orb like portal would open and your character would walk into it. Now, when you interact with it, its like they're beamed up into some spaceship. -.-

What's going to be the race for the next class? *Crossing fingers that it's for the elves.*

Yeah I really like Tera, but if you play a PvP world, and you're playing the game solo, good luck. You'll need it because after your level 20s, everyone starts ganging up on you and killing you in every monster map that you're at and it will be extremely difficult for you to do any quests at all.
