Are you expecting any delays?

Well to be honest, I'd rather have a few delays than have an underdeveloped and broken game. I think delays are good, makes me think that game companies actually care enough to polish and fix issues before turning in a product.

But if this game gets delayed again then there's probably some deep rooted problems, maybe more technical than we've imagined. It is an MMO after all so problems will at some point surface and resurface.

I heard it's been pushed back to 2016 or something. But it's good to delay games like that, I'd rather have a fully polished, butter smooth game rather than a broken down game that barely works.

And besides, Ubisoft still has a few major games to be released this year so it's pretty much not a big deal, unless you're itching for the game.

Was kind of expecting the delay actually. Since the issue of the graphics looking a bit downplayed compared to the previous demos, I think they're trying to assess the performance issues with the game now. Since this game is an MMO it's almost a safe bet that a lot of technical issues are happening, probably with the AI or the servers.

The developers are put into a difficult position. You've got people demanding the game, yet if its rushed out to keep them happy, then there will be a barrage of complaints about an unfinished product. Many developers of early-access games refuse to confirm update dates now precisely because of this problem. It can only really be a good thing that the launch has been delayed, it means a better more complete game when it is released. The delay is costing them potential earnings as well so they obviously wouldn't do it unless there was a good reason for it.

2015 was already crowded anyways. Publishing the game in 2016 is a good idea, I think. They're gonna look stupid though if the game's a mess even with this delay. :p

Yes, they would. It would be far better that they delay again rather than doing that. Theres no excuses for putting out a half-finished product and I believe that its not going to happen, even if there is another slight delay, it'll only be because the beta testing has thrown up vastly more problems than they were expecting.

Right now I think that the only person we should not expect delays from is Scott Cawthorn (the creator of FNaF) and everyone else should just expect at least one. This way you don't end up disappointed.

Ubisoft has been known to have delays attached to it's games and so one would be foolish to not expect any delays.

Yeah but if it delays again I don't think they have other games that can cover that hole in the Q1 of 2016, right? I think it's going to be ready by then, because there's no way the publisher is going to give them more time.

Reports now say that the game has now been delayed until Q4 of 2016, so it looks like it'll be polished even more, or they're running into more issues (or both). I can't say I'm surprised that it's delayed again as a game of this scope was bound to run into some problems and need more work on it.

Honestly, as long as the game is not a buggy mess I have no problem at all with delays. Ubisoft has a bad track record of releasing buggy and blatantly unfinished games, so I hope this delay means they're going to make everything as polished as possible.

Either it's going to come out polished and very playable (with the help of a day-1 patch, no doubt) or it'll be a huge buggy mess and we'll all be scratching our heads thinking "if it's this bad now, imagine if the game hadn't been delayed". I'm hoping on the game being fairly solid, but only time will tell. I don't think delaying the game will make it worse though, so there is that.

Yeah, I'm really hoping it's at least decent. Everything I've seen about the game looks extremely cool and it would suck if it turned out be bad.

In the words of Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of the Super Mario franchise: "A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever". It's good if they're cooking the game some more if there are bugs to squash and stuff like that, it's probably one of the most anticipated multiplayer games coming out in 2016 and it would be really sad if it comes out broken.

Never trust the first release date set out by any publisher.

The first few release dates seem to be a way of publishers telling their developers to aim for that date, but I can't think of a game that was released recently that wasn't delayed. They're almost better to keep it to quarters (ie: Q2 of 2016) but then people want a date, especially for pre-orders and such.

As long as it doesn't turn into a Duke Nukem Forever delay, we should be OK.
