    i am not religious nor do i consider myself an "atheist". it sounds like a bad word wich is agains religion


    As long as they leave me alone, i am fine with religion.



    I will stand up however to lesbians and gay people who are openly targeted, offended and oppressed by religious people. I am straight but i have 2 very very good lesbian friends and they have been very eye opening to me. And i dare to enter gay bars and parades with them without feeling ashamed. And i shall defend them and there fellow same-gender loving folks from any threat.

    Quite a good question there, Streff. I think the more important question is "what if he didn't?".

    In all honesty, I'd rather not get in a debate because any argument in this area is obviously fueled by personal opinion. I respect your belief, in fact I admire it. But let's stay away from debate.

    personally im an atheist along with my family. and i think if reliogion doesnt force people to worship a god by force then its all good.

    Athiest, if I have to call myself anything. People can believe in what ever god(s) they want if it's going to give them some sort of comfort or hope, I have no problem with that as long as they don't use their beliefs to try to run (read: ruin) other people's lives, or try to push their beliefs, ideals, etc. on others (which so many unfortunately do). But as far as organised religion goes - I'm quite against it. I think churches do more harm than good with all the hate and intolerance they, or at least the people that run them, spread across the world.

    They must have weird churches where you come from. Here they mostly preach the importance of love and understanding. I've been to a funeral and a confirmation (what's that in english?) lately, and both things were quite comforting, even funny (well not the funeral xD). So even the churches are different. Everything that involves superstition is so hard to capture and organize, because everyone is different from each other.

    in addition to that,if God needs the help of a human organization,that means that he is not able to make the whole humanity believe in himself,and if so he is not almighty and therefore not a God.

    I mostly agree with you, except for one thing. Most religious organizations are burdened by extremist groups or a stereotype, which can lead to negative connotations to that group. But an organization itself (like Catholicism or Islam) is actually quite beneficial to an area/country.

    Oh no no i dont want to make anypony angry. It was just my playoff of all religious and all your arguments about it. But nowadays i believe in ponies more than i ever believed in God. Its like worshipping something that is 20% cooler than any religions will ever be. As theta said ( and he really meant it :D) i would go for worshipping ponies and the Sun and Moon princesses Celestia and Luna accordingly :)

    P.S. But if you get angry someday you will know where to rant :pop2:
