    These types of murders/atrocities happen all the time, it's just being emphasized as this is the"hot topic" in the news. It'll simmer down in, what, a month?

    Yeah, but after a while people would abandon firearm stores allowing for looting. And one can always raid police departments or army stockpiles if you have the connections.

    As long as your blade doesn't get stuck in for example the ribcage it should work fine:) And even if you have a very sharp blade like a katana I don't think its that easy to get a clean cut when surrounded by zeds trying to get a chomp outta your arse.:D

    True that. And I have heard that it's not so easy to cut off someone's head either. Not even with a seriously sharp katana. I watched mythbusters once where they put a doll that had the same construction and size as a human body against a roof-fan with a car-engine and sharpened metal-blades. Couldn't get the head off. But when we're talking zombies, they're probably already rotten and easy to tear through I guess.

    Well it depends if we are talking about a zombie from semetery that died a long time ago, or about new baked zombie. And no, humans bones dont rot in days, even after few years when people died his bones are as strong as new. And that can last for a long while. It depends on location in wich he is burried. For exp. human body rots very slowly in cold or hot location and rots kinda fast is wet location like swamp or forest

    Well theres an old 303 in our shed at home, a small tomahawk sized wood cutting axe, 2 long knives, a mini chainsaw, a large wood cutting axe and various blunt objects in our shed :) not to mention a Nissan Navara 4x4 on crush heads with :p

    Has anyone seen the face of the victim? It's almost un recognizable. It's a struggle to see the bloody remains of his right eye pupil. Even his face after the reconstruction is brutal looking.

    My experience of mythbusters is that it's a popular show which is more interested in "amazing" people than getting real facts. But maybe thats just me. :)

    Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's possible to cut off heads with the proper weapon (a broadsword, katana, axe) if you have the training and skill. Beheadings have been a common form of punishment all over the place, even back to Roman times (it was the way a Roman citizen was executed).

    ^ yep, crowbars are in, they are very reliable in zombie situations (I speak from experience... ah, almost got ya there, didn't I?) :p
