    I yelp in surpise as I am pulled back then sigh with relief at the reason."Thank you....god damn I would have died there...."I give stepans cheek a kiss."But lets focus on the job yea?"Not even flitching at the ammo exploding more then used to it I used to work as a guard.

    The cart still happily rattles along the track toward the next station as I kick the backpack that is smoking from the cooked off rounds from the rack and into the tracks to prevent any fire that could come about. "This might be a lot harder than expected...." I mumble to myself as I lie back down against the armor plate.

    I lean back against the armor plate besides stepan and smile at him then lay that bitch of a rifle off to the side and lean on his shoulder with a tiny smile."You know normally the Ak never leaves my body...but for you I'll make a exception."I giggle at him.

    I laugh a bit and take off the heavy army jacket to an old worn West German army tricot shirt, collar unzipped to a non descript telnyashka worn by age. I put my arm around val for a short while before having Pete stop the cart at a small worker's passage. Which, I figure should lead to a small office space or locker room sufficient to make a camp. "We should stop here for a while, rest up and make sure we've got everything. We saw what can happen on this line, let's take our time with this and not rush." I say after clearing my throat.

    Kinda cliche this next thing but meeeh and shes not dead btw


    I hop off the cart putting my Ak to my left shoulder and snapping it up to chest height barrel out in front ready for anything but it turns out to be clear as I sweep the room with the muzzle of the gun I turn and smile at Stepan then feel the sharp blinding pain as a spider stabs me though the belly with one of its legs while it bites my right shoulder I turn and shine my light on it causing it to flip howling in pain I scream myself and drop my right arm from the gun to empty the ak into its soft belly one handed hissing in pain and falling to my knees as my vision blurs then fades out the Ak dropping from my loose grip before I faceplant then my vision fades completely as I black out

    "Blyad!" Out of shock I flip the light on my pipe rifle and fire shots and burn the spiders with the light. I grab val by the collar of her jacket and pull her while holding the rifle with the light in one hand and Val's Kalash on my back. I take her back to the cart and set her down with care. I lob a molotov in the room and Pete starts the cart before we drive up the track to make distance between us and the spiders.

    Stepan panicky and shaking cuts open the stomach of her shirt and presses a large olive drab bandage on her belly. "Pete, pass me the military first aid kit!" Pete opens the kit and passes it to Stepan who then pours alcohol on the wound. "Shit, this can't be good" I mumble to myself while holding the compressive bandage on while wrapping it around her. He injects her with a vial of a painkilling drug for when she wakes up and puts his thick army jacket under her head as a pillow.

    Trippy ass dreams

    I wake up on the surface only it isn't the surface or I'd be choking I am in a summer dress from prewar and the surface is alive I must be dreaming then the scene changes I am in the tunnels with my bitch of a rifle theres mutants all around and no matter how many I kill 4 more take his place I scream and bash a mutants head in swinging the rifle like a club then the scene changes again to a bar then I slip into nothing again

    I struggle to work with the first aid, first I clean the wound and then tie on a israeli bandage to compress the wound. I have calmed down but I still am terribly confused on what to do. I keep her flat but angle her head up and give her smelling salts and a light shake "Ah son of a bitch.. Come on, Val. Pull through and wake up!" I administer more salts in an attempt to wake her up. "Now we wait I guess, right Pete?" Pete replies in a grumble implying not to worry so much or that he's seen it before" I sit back and just breath for a bit.

    I put her on her side to stop the coughing, removing the rest of the rags that were her shirt and placing my extra German army shirt in it's place. "Val, you're gonna be fine. Alright? Perfectly fine." I check the bandage and then let her rest, watching to make sure we weren't pursued

    "Shit" I mumble as she passes out. I'm not sure how to remedy this but we cannot turn back. I think there might be better meds at the next station if the offices and worker stations aren't looted Not sure where we'd go from here, any ideas nightfall?

    Well shes just weak due to bloodloss gonna need something to wake her up.....and wardoff the shock the mil aid kit should have it
