    Use claymores ? Really ? The most unintuitive thing to do while a goddamn giant crab is in your face.You also get hurt instantly while you plant it because the thing is in your face.

    I literally used 0 claymores and 0 grenades during the whole game(except in the last battle I chucked them like crazy because there was an infinite supply).

    Why are you telling him the worse is to come ? You can kill the other bosses with literally 0 shots fired(except the last big mutant boss of course), you know that right ? The damn construction is there for a reason.The bosses a stupid for a reason.

    I used fire bombs to kill it, and shot literally every bullet I had into it.

    Apparently.. The cute shrimp boss is slow as fuck.. you can just run away and plant your clays and he will run straight into it if you stand in line with it..

    Claymore planting mechanic and inability to cook grenades are my two gripes with secondary equipment in Metro Last Light.

    I do not understand why we are only allowed to plan Claymore when a monster is nearby. Claymores, as any other mines, are used to set up traps or secure perimeters of ground when there is no immediate presence. Claymores in MLL are just another form of grenade with tactical and no strategical use. Strange decision by developers.

    To stay on the topic, the shrimp boss has rather long reach so planting Claymores can be tricky. I was using Claymores when it was stunned by support fire. I have also used most of my Claymores on small version of shrimp boss that crawl out of swamp in earlier parts of the map. Incendiary grenades are much safer option for the boss fight in my opinion.

    Ok, can't get past it, for some reason it gets to a point where it won't let me shoot, throw grenades/place claymores etc the only thing I can do at all is just run about.

    Is this a bug or just part of the boss fight? It goes on for ages.

    it is pretty simple honest..
    use claymore..

    back down.
    claymore explodes.. enemy will get "stunned"
    also dont be dumb.. dont shot at him while he's protecting with his claws.. you do almost null damage while he has his claws in the front.

    you can always hear the NPC alerts when the giant crab is stunned.. so you can empty a 4 barrel shotgun on it.
    do it 4-5 times, and he's done. (at least in normal hardcore)

    I couldn't do any of that, that's my problem. It wouldn't let me. When I said all I could do was run around, I wasn't kidding.

    Sorted it, quit the game and restarted and it didn't do it after that.

    What do you mean it won't let you do any of that? It won't let you plant claymores? Or maybe you're having the same bug as me where Artyom's hands,hud etc dissapeared and all i can do is just walk around ?

    Yup that's what I meant.

    Restart of the game seemed to fix it, hope you find a fix for the bug too :)
