Just around 25 years old, full-on beard and a few tattoos, most of which have Asetru (Ancient norse mythology FYI) motives. His entire back is one big tattoo of Midgard, Asgard and Utgard (I think it's called). He also has tattoos of the Fenrir wolf and the worm of Mitgard respectively, the last of which circles around his biceps. His voice is fairly deep, and along with the beard and numerous tattoos, this makes his appearance somewhat brutal to some. His hair is very short, though not shaved.
He is very muscular, and has the record for most arm-laying victories at the bar of Novoslobodskaya.
His height is nothing unusual, around 185 cm.
Eyes are brown.

Equipment:
AS Val with Kobra optical red dot sight (Special gift from the leader of Novoslobodskaya for great courage)
Black P99 (Received as a bonus in a drug deal)
Full, modular vest with room for 8 AS Val mags and 4 P99 mags, radio, dump pouch, etc.
Fighting axe (A relic from his religious beliefs, though still very functional at close range)
Entirely black uniform.
Hip flask with vodka.
Canteen with vater. He likes the hip flask better.
Always carries a bit of hash.


Traits:
He owns and plays a balalaika, and he is renowned for his storytelling around the campfire. Sometimes he gets a glass over the thirst, and he also has a quite a taste for hash, which he makes use of fairly often. Besides, he hardly ever shows fear, and tends to be positive in any situation. To add to that, he is agile, and when he moves in the darkness it is almost like he becomes one with his equipment - like his AS VAL is just as much a part of himself as his own, beating heart. This allows for stealthy and smooth movement, skills that are good to have in your repetoire as a drug dealer and soldier.

Backstory:
He was six years old when the disaster happened. His kindergarten happened to be in the metro for a trip to Lenin's mausoleum when the nukes fell.
From then on no one took care of him, and he spent most of his time expeditioning with the other kids. He never got caught, but stories arose about his little trips into the tunnels. One day, a man came to him and asked him to deliver a package to the next station for a few bullets, and Nikolai gladly accepted the bullets and went to the next station, Paveletskaya. He successfully delivered the package, and this was how his life as freelance drug dealer started.
Now he works as station guard and professional soldier for the Hanza around Novoslobodskaya. When his "old friends" come to visit, he always gets a little something as a bribe. It tends to go up in smoke, but sometimes, it goes into his pocket. Then he goes to his contact at Paveletskaya and delivers the little something. He makes good money from this, and he is still highly valued for his courage among the Hanza officers.
From these deals, he knows a lot of the people in the metro, and has a talent for bribing the right people in the right places to have his will.

Dark, only your newest character would be able to relate to mine. Seeing as they were both orphaned and they botch went into a substance smuggling/distribution occupation at a young age.

 

Thought I would update his description now that we are out of D6. Its a good milestone.

General Physical Desc: He is of mid height, around 5'9", weighs about 140 pounds. He has a medium build (not too muscled, not unmuscled). Sharp cheek bones and an overall gaunt appearance. He has the outline, in black, of a dragon tattooed on his right shoulder. Scarring along his right ankle where a nosaline bit him.

Clothing: Jeans, a grey t shirt, a belt, tan leather gloves, boots with steel toes (likes to kick people with them- jk)

Weapons: AK-47 with a sling and a MP 446

Equipment: 12 full magazines for the AK, about 30 loose rounds for it, 3 magazines for the pistol, a gas mask (M40), some filters, basic medical supplies, a load bearing vest holding it all, wears a silver ring on his rigt hand. Has a map of moscow with the metro stations marked on it. A lighter, and a black wrist watch that he got from his sister. A shoulder holster for the pistol.

Backstory: Melnikov met a group of rangers while he was going for a search for equipment on the surface. Due to necesity at the time, he joined with them to escape a large pack of nosalines. After they reached the metro again, he found out they were going after Glock, a Nazi leader. Since he hated Nazis, he went along again. After losing a few group members, and gaining a few more, the group snuck into D6. The toxin, the existence of which was only revealed as they began the mission, was released into D6, and Glock was executed. However, Melnikov met his sister, Lara, who had appearantly joined with the Nazis sometime since he had left her. She was killed by Steve, one of the new members of the group, who Melnikov killed in revenge. Steve threatened that the Rangers and the Stars in the Dark would hunt him down. Having escaped from D6, with a guilty concious and 1 less family member, Melnikov is left with the other members of the group who got away, in a service room not far from D6.

Clothing/Armor/Uniform:
Natalya was a former Engineer in Paveletskaya, hired by Hansa to keep and maintain the station's firearms, vehicles, lights and other mechanical items. Though he was excommunicated by his old comrades, he still wears a black hooded jumpsuit, a utility harness, nimble rubbered gloves, and a pair of old military boots which was passed down to him from his father. He commonly wears his gasmask's strap around his neck, so as to not lose it or forget about it, whenever he stops by stations.

Weapons:
Natalya carries an old, but well-maintained AKs-74u with a matte black frame and wooden stock. He has around three magazines, all of them loaded with 24 rounds each, strapped in the pouches of his utility harness. He also carries with him an a sawn off over-under variant of the duplet. He has ten slugs for it, not including the ones already inside the shotgun.

Other Equipment:
Aside from the afore mentioned gasmask and utility harness, Natalya carries with him a maintenance kit, a tool pouch, two flasks of water (he does not drink alcohol), a jury rigged pair of pump-charged nightvision goggles, four extra filters, a map of the metro, a book on advanced electronic maintenance, a medical pouch, a small leather wallet carrying his passport for travel, an extra set of clothes and three cans of rations. As you can see, Natalya is very meticulous of his gear, and never carries anything more than what he needs.

Backstory
Born 8 years prior the bombing of Moscow, Natalya remembers little of the surface life, other than how his father had left him when he was young, only after giving him his name, a name which brought him most of his misery. Instead, he has become accustomed to the metro, living his life under the tutelage of his mother, a Hansa Engineer. At an early age, he had found little interest in electronics, but during his adolescent years, he learnt just how much the station needed boys like him to keep life going. Reluctantly, he accepted his mother's proposition, and joined the Hansa as a mechanic.

His life, from then on, was easy, if compared to most metro dwellers. One could even say he was a spoiled brat, actually. Most of what he had was handed to him on a silver platter; the knowledge of the old world, the skill of the machines, and the eye of the artist. For an engineer, Natalya had a very fortunate beginning in the metro in contrast to others, which gave him an edge over others. If there was anything bad about Natalya's childhood, or adultlife, it would've been his name. Natalya was a woman's name, obviously, and was the cause of most of his ridicule. Because of this, Natalya had grown up with an unpleasant demeanor, especially after promising his dying mother to always introduce himself by his full first name, and not any moniker or nickname.

After years of easy work, Natalya was shipped into Paveletskaya after winning a bet against his commanding officer in his home station. There he was forced to constantly work, knowing full well the consequences of mismanagement in the mutant-infested hell of a station he was posted in. Though due to several disagreements with his superiors, Natalya was booted and stripped of his rank. He was then thrown out of Paveletskaya, though one of the residents there was kind enough to lend him a pass to the next station.

Unused to the sudden sense of freedom, Natalya headed for Polis, or atleast tried to, and was lost in the subways for years, forced to sell his services as an engineer to most people to get enough coin to head to another station, where he would rinse and repeat after being detoured and detracted from his goal. He has had several close encounters with both Nazis and Bandits, and has considered both of them pests to the Metro System after being pestered by them for so long.

For reasons left obvious, he is also looking for his father after hearing rumors of his survival in the metro.

the guard mg in metro uses 12.7mm which is russian for .50cal

 

True, but it's also a massive and bulky heavy machine only used in a mounted form. It is also true that it is "50. Cal" but being 10.8 cm long doesn't make it the most desirable pistol cartridge, even if somehow shortened.

Not saying you can't have a 12.7mm revolver, but you shouldn't really compare it with a DShk.

Yeah I agree with LagTagBag. Hitting a moving target such as a demon with a 12.7mm revolver from god knows how far away you imagine to be from said demon. I mean a revolver like that would be so massive and unwieldy you might as well be using a rifle like the one seen in last light trailer, which I'll add, is probably the most massive hand held gun in the game.

The whole thing just seems so outlandish and "I'm a total God who kills everything" to me. Why don't you just use a Desert eagle or something that actually exists?
