    Could always just get some Surplus Soviet gear and part it off in order to boost our community awareness.

    You can get basic Civilian ones dirt cheap, and military ones for a tad more, whole HAZMAT suits for 60usd as well!

    Well I did offer Luster a bunch of swag a while back and he declined for the moment...but I did just hook Streff up with our outreach agency and they have a bunch of swag items as well. I will have additional contests on our Facebook and Twitter profiles soon too and I will post here when those go up.     Okay, I have Luster's go-ahead, and the outreach agent is keen to get started. What kind of contests would you guys like to see? Right now, here are my ideas:

    1 - A thread where each person who posts gets one entry (and only one). Then, at a determined date and time, a random winner gets the prize.

    2 - Funniest caption to a given Metro-picture (winner decided by THQVagrantScout, Luster, and myself)

    Any other ideas you guys have? I'm more in favor of number two, atm.

    Option two for sure. While I enjoy the thought of some random person getting the prize, I'd rather see it go to someone who deserves it, ya know?

    What kind of "swag" have you been hooked up with? Are you at liberty to say?

    i think the best idea is to have a crossword with over 50 + questions relating to metro 2033. and the ingame content? that seems super legit though.

    But i think that people need to deserve the prize. Contributing to the forum. Or having a lot of knowledge about the games.

    I believe that something along the lines of a Metro Universe (Games only, because we are talking about the game, not the book) trivia give-away on twitter or any other means is in order. As I said, you could feature some community wide fan art contest, with the winning design('s) being featured on a t-shirt which the community can buy. I have other ideas as I do (or am planning to open a clothing store, for which I'm in the process of negotiating a business license with Hasbro, dun dun duuuhh!) You could give away shirts, ushankas!, store discount codes and other themed metro goodies!

    If you guys need any help, I am most certainly willing to lend a helping hand. Please don't hesitate to contact me.

    Yeah, this would be one for Joe, rather than for this specific contest. But great idea! I'll make sure Joe gets a note about this.

    ^ Crossword sounds good. I'll get more info on the swag ASAP. T-Shirts, game-codes, and gas masks have been mentioned, so it's good stuff!

    I like this idea. Although I've already posted a pic of my metro outfit, I can surely make a new one without the HK and with a better background, for example when the winter comes :D

    And for those who don't have any outfits like some of us crazy people, I'd suggest ... a metro quiz?

    Other ideas for swags that I would like, is accessories. Like wristbands, possibly different jewelleries, different head-wears like not only Ushankas, but caps, helmets and so on.

    I agree, for some of us it's not feasible to spend copious amounts of currency on a metro costume which will have no other apparent use because airsoft is illegal, ect ect ect ...

    I like the idea of an art contest because I'm currently working on a charcoal rendition of the new Khan. Joe's going to view it and see if he can get it put into a community contest :3

    My thoughts exactly. As one might have noticed in the "where are you from?"-thread, only a small percentage of the members here are american, so you would exclude 92% of the community by only allowing americans to enter the contest. Of course this is only a poll, but it still shows a clear picture.
