I find it amusing that what is the sole posts on this forum, mostly, are done in the roleplay section, and here by on average 2 and a bit people, concerning nought and nihility.

It used to be bustling around here right around release, then after release the page was flooded with not-so-great content (I was sort of gone at this point, so I might not be the one to ask) and now there are pretty few users on here regularly hwell:

Yeah. As I remember it, the forum was just getting more and more popular as we got closer and closer to the release date. People were so eager, and really open for discussions and suggestions for what may lie ahead, and we shared so many great moments and other things regarding 2033. We even had some contests where we could win stuff like that Metro Last Light gasmask bag with a gas mask.

Then the release came out, and the forum was flooded by a lot of conversation over a short period of time, where most of it unfortunately consisted of complains about bugs and trying to have them fixed. Then, when we had not only milked the cow, but r***** it as well, the forum went from crazy to dead in the blink of an eye. Lots of the good ol' guys halfly disappeared, and only the people with no social life stayed behind to keep the community going

 

I am not going to guarantee anything, but as far as things are playing out now, I certainly intend to stay on as far as the ship will float.
I do like the community you, or perhaps more fitting, we, have going here, and, as I am sure to have read someplace or the other, in phrasing hopefully not quite unlike mine:
"Some times, a limited poulace will only lead to the best of the best being left behind."
..And then followed a statement somewhat on the contrary, but let us not think about that.

I feel I might have gotten a tad overly serious with the entirety of the case,
and so, in concern of straying too far from the pre-determined "topic":

I don't know how many times I've said this, but this is definitely the best forums out there. Easily the simplest to navigate, nice colors, great community, far more open conversations that rather sticking to the single topic of the forum, cool currency system, active mods and admins, spam bots, random celebrities, etc.

I've wondered several times how long this forum may stay up and running, and for as long as it does (even if it continues for 30 more years or more), I plan to continue to visit it and stay active on in. This is my first forum and I know I'll never find another like it ()

I guess how long the forum stays up, depends on the people who actually own it. If we don't get enough visitors, not enough people see the ads, and the company doesn't make enough money on the forum, which results in them deciding that the forum isn't worth the trouble. I don't know what would happen next; if they'd shut it down completely, or maybe simply give it away to us. I don't know if it costs money to keep it up or not. But are we willing to take the risk?

If it was so that it wouldn't cost any money, and they'd give it to us, I'd order every single member to get Google Chrome with Adblock, or stay out of the forum until we'd taken it over
