we got absolutely poured on by a lightening storm and heavy wind, but it made it kinda fun in a wet slip and slide kind of way. lots of mud puddle diving, but cold and miserable at the same time.

unfortunately I forgot my phone in the car so I wasn't able to get any pics while on the field. the only ones I got were at the end just before leaving.





And as for bruise pics... there really weren't any. on me. I gave out plenty but I only got a couple good ones. one on the head and one on the arm, bare skin. both received during a shirts only Ironman round.

Sorry about my absence the last couple days, I've been in Sweden for a classtrip with my school, visiting these massive futuristic Volvo-factories and museums. Pretty impressive. It was also a lot of fun, we managed to scare a guy so much he jumped out the window :lol:

We slept over at a building that had previously been used as a hospital for mentally ill people. We joked about the place being haunted when we spoke to a guy in our class, whom we know is usually easily spooked. He went out to buy us some pizza, and when he got back, we switched off the light and hid ourselves. He discovered us immediately, and we all came out from our hiding places except one last guy who stayed in the closet. He actually came out of the closet at least twice whilst the easily spooked guy was cutting the pizza, but he didn't even notice it. I knew the last guy was still in the closet, and waited excitedly, but nothing happened.

Two guys and me went outside around the building to buy some more pizza, when we heard a scream and turned towards the building. We could see the easily spooked guy jumping out of the window and legging it for the pizza shop :lol: Apparently the guy in the closet had scratched the wall with his nails, and the spooked guy went "Haha, I know it's you guys that are making that noise", but they all put their hands in the air, and the guy in the closet scratched again. The spooked guy's face was priceless as he screamed whilst running for the window :laugh:

Momz took me to a gun range that happens to be a block away from my house, how I never knew it was there I don't know. So we shot some pistols. I choose a CZ75B for the classical satisfaction over the Sig P226. The sights were a little hard to see so I think my mom actually shot better than me lol

I don't know if I've said it here, but I've got three weeks left of school (That's including this one). For the last three weeks, there's nothing to do at school. This is the end of the second semester in the second year of Senior High School, I'm educated as a vehicles mechanic but primarily a car mechanic. The school is being moved to a brand new building, so the teachers have to use the last three weeks moving stuff from the old school to the new one and prepare the new one for the next school-year, and preferrably be done with this before the summer vacation (2 months) begins.

Therefor, the students have nothing to do at school, especially since we've already had the exams. So these last three weeks, we are actually working at real car-mechanic industries-places-workshops-things. (Well, those of us who actually managed to get a place to work. The rest are at school to help move the stuff, or they're just skipping school and staying at home). I've been one week at a Toyota company, fixin' Toyotas and Lexuses. I learn a lot there, as the guy that I work with is really good at giving me stuff to do.

If I do well enough during these three weeks (Already been there for one week), I get a summerjob there. If I do good at the summerjob, I get an apprentice-job there, as an apprentice for two years. It's difficult to get an apprentice-job after finishing school, because it costs the companies money to have you there and to teach you to become a proper car mechanic. And they're only taking in the best ones, if they even take any apprentices at all. I had already applied at eight different places, all turned me down, when I was lucky with the ninth one;

At the eigth place I applied, which was Phoenix US Cars, I applied to a guy there that I know very well from before. I have also been placed there for one week in the first semester, when I applied to be so, so he knows (or thinks) that I am a decent car mechanic. Anyway, when I applied there, he said they can't take in any apprentices. He said that if I couldn't find a place to be for the next three weeks, I could be at Phoenix with him, but he said I'd be much better off if I found a place where there could be a chance of me getting an apprentice-job. So he suggested Toyota. A couple days later, I applied there, and they were immediately positive and said yes without any hesitation. I found it very weird when comparing it to the negativity at other places, and especially since at least three other boys from my class had already applied there but had been turned down.

Later on, I discovered that the guy I know from Phoenix, actually worked at Toyota once before. Turns out he had recommended me to Toyota on his own initiative, and Toyota trusts him. They've had an apprentice before, and he was.... what do you call it... A trouble-child, until he got fired. That's why they've been negative towards anyone applying for apprentice-job there. I've been there for a week now, and it's perfect! At other places I've been, there's either been too much work-pressure, or not enough work to do, or too much work to do, too big company, too small company, too unfriendly company etc. etc. . Toyota has some fairly young, but still adult, people who are all buddies and have a great sense of humor. At the same time, there's a perfect ammount of work to do, and you can often relax if you just need to take a short break. The working conditions are just great.

The only downside, like every other place, is the working hours. I start at 7:30 AM, and go home at 15:30 PM, so I'm not home until 16:10 PM, which leaves me only six hours before bedtime. No exceptions so I can go early home or come late to work, and I can't skip work like I've done with school. It'll be challenging, but I think I can do it

Well good luck with it Skaa... Jesper, hope it works out for you in the summer and beyond. I too have to go back to work after school, but at least it will be day shift. Basically same hours as you just a half hour earlier.
