Okay, I just finished Far Cry 3, and let me say, it was amazing. A lot of games have taken me averagely 13 hours to finish: Both Metro games, Mafia2, Portal2, AVP 2013, Half-Life2, Prototype, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Tomb Raider and more. Only a few other games I've played have taken me more time than that to complete, those including Far Cry 3.

19 hours it took me, and I didn't even do many of the sidequests. Just some of them. The story was great, and the ending was awesome. I was surprised that I was given an option on two different endings, and when I checked the alternative ending on youtube, I'm glad I didn't choose that :lol: And for some strange reason, I still feel like continuing the free-roam, and actually finish different sidequests here and there, like conquering outposts. I did not feel like doing that in Assassin's Creed 2 which took me 28 hours, nor in Watch Dogs which took me about 40 hours.

I really want to give Far Cry 3 a 10/10, because I personally love the scenery and location of the island, and it has some really awesome weapons, and the gameplay itself is very cool too. But it did get difficult sometimes and it did have some glitches here and there. Nothing big, but in my book in definitely deserves 9/10.

Over here, where I live, there are city buses that have a display screen, at the rear of the bus, on the outside, that displays the bus' number and the company. Well, around the holidays, they add a few extra lines that will say "Happy Holidays," "Merry Christmas," and "Happy New year." Since I live on the U.S. Mexican border, they display the messages in both English and Spanish. Since the new year just passed, you could see the buses displaying "Happy New Year," and in Spanish "Feliz Ano Nuevo." p) The funny thing is that, in Spanish, it is required that you insert the squiggly line that looks like (~) over the letter "N" in in "Año" to mean "Year"; but, since there is no squiggly, the word means something completely different. In this case, without the squiggly, the buses are displaying and wishing everyone, in Spanish, "Happy New Anus." I suppose the bus' display screen isn't capable of making the squiggly line, but, it doesn't seem like anyone has attempted to fix it or said anything about it

Well, I just wrote a review in steam on AC Unity:
Even if you're like me: Rich, and fall for the awesome character customizations, weapons, and the whole appeal of this game, it's still not worth the money. It took me a lot of work to make it playable without stuttering and lagging. Yet it still occasionally freezes and bugs out. I was in the middle of something when I was randomly thrown into what appeared to be a co-op mission, where everyone else ran around so fast I couldn't understand what was going on. The movement is worse than before, as the game just does everything for you as you mash the attack button, jump button and run button.

As for the story, as the main reason I got the game: It started out interesting, and I really liked the plot and especially the main character's personality, but the game just threw us two years ahead in time, and you're supposed to already be a skilled assassin with no chance to train yourself before the big fights. And you're not even able to progress in the story because you HAVE to increase your skills and become better, because they make the story-missions more and more difficult, with difficulty-levels. This means I have to do side-quests and the like when all I want is to progress and finish the story instead of using hours to explore the uninteresting and confusing city that has the same appearance everywhere.

In the last mission I played, I was given the task to find my own way into a place to assassinate a guy. After a lot of troubling around with no help from the eagle-vision, I managed to get inside. But once there, I tried over and over and over again but there's no way to escape from those guards when they keep spraying you down with their guns.

The game is poorly optimized so it runs really slow. Setting the graphics down to minimum does help, but then the graphic is so bad you might as well go play Assassin's Creed 2, which is a much better game. Ubisoft disappointed me big time on this one. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason for this is because they keep making AC game after AC game so fast that they don't take their time to polish them at all. They just make a heap of low-budget games and sweep in the cash. Besides, Ubisoft is famous for their anti-AMD games after they teamed up with Nvidia to make only their cards work well with the games, and no other cards(-coming from an Nvidia-user). But now, not even my Nvidia card works well with this game. There's probably someone who's getting a good experience out of this game, but I sure as heck ain't one of them.

It's been in hibernation all of these years and you've woken it up! It may appear innocent at the time, but I'm afraid it will attempt to conquer this forum and its inhabitants within the next week.

Edit: I just noticed you AC: Unity review. That's basically how I saw, what very little I saw, play out. The town layout is basically the same and there is this one store that appears out on every corner of the map. I've never played any AC game, so I wouldn't know how it compares to the earlier games. I didn't like the Eagle Vision aspect either. I just doesn't fit the timeline. That sucks that the game wasn't as great as you had anticipated and mentioned here on the forum ().
