I'm kinda excited to try FO4, but at the same time I'm put off by many of its aspects (mostly technical and mechanical, to a lesser extent thematic) and I don't think I could spend 40 quid on it. As a fan of the series, I guess I will eventually play it anyway, just not sure when. To be honest, lately I don't have that much time or will to play games in general.

Awesome. I sunk a lot of time in that game and its sequels, but that was like 2 years before I owned a Steam account so I honestly can't say how much it was exactly... but I doubt it was as impressive as 280 hours, for the first game it was probably closer to just 50. :p I do own GOG Galaxy copies of all 3 games now too, so at some point (maybe next summer?) I will head into the Zone again - it would be nice to revisit it after so much time. :D

I have seen loads of ppl playing Fallout 4 on my friend list as well. I want to play it, but I don't know when. My plan was that I buy R6 Siege, and after that comes Just Cause 3 because that is pure fun. All it depends on the PC port of JC3. If it is better than Fallout 4's which is not hard to achive then my choice won't be Fallout for now.

So, Sniper Ghost Warrior 2, I played it a few hours and it is not as bad as I expected to be, I even plan to buy the expansion pack which is more sandboxish then the main campign.

City Interactive (now called CI Games) were actually quite notorious in Poland for making many cheap knock-offs of Western productions - mostly inspired by Call of Duty and such. However, for a while now they seem to be putting more of their efforts into higher budget productions that seem more promising. Sniper: Ghost Warrior was possibly their first such product and it was very mediocre, but that was still better than most of the crap they released earlier. :p Ghost Warrior 2 was an improvement and, even though it's unoriginal as most of their games, I have to admit that I enjoyed playing it. More recently, Enemy Front and Lords of the Fallen are titles made by them that are supposed to be actually pretty good (I have not yet tried either though). Thus it seems as though after all these years they are actually learning from and improving on their work, so Ghost Warrior 3 could be their best yet.

However, I honestly think their fixation with the American military drags down the potential of some of their games. With stuff like Ghost Warrior 2 and Enemy Front, which feature settings that are rarely ever even mentioned in the gaming industry, it seems like a real strange design choice to make you play as the stereotypical USA hero; it's as though whenever someone over at that studio comes up with an interesting idea ("let's make a game set during the breakup of Yugoslavia or a WWII shooter that follows the exploits of the Polish and French partisans"), another important person - presumably someone who had a hand in making all those cheap CoD clones years ago - always has to say: "but hey, let's make the player control John the white American male who saves the day!".

Btw, Wanderer, Cheese and Darkness - you guys should all join the skype chat we created for the forum. After all, you've all been here for a while and you still visit pretty often, so you might enjoy checking out some of the conversations that take place over there every now and then. It's nothing obligatory and you could just pop in whenever you like or not at all, but it would still be great to have yous there in case the forum ever goes down for good. :)

About two weeks ago I went to see some old school metal bands with my bro, it was fantastic to listed to classics played live. Here is a video I created out of short clips from the gig (it's not much as I prefer to get involved in the event rather than record, but I wanted to have some kind of souvenir from it). :p

Thanks, i would like that, i recently set up a skype account so yeah.

off topic but hey, some cool stuff happening this year, me and my rusky friend Nikita are going of a winter mountain foundation course to scotland with my cadet group, in preparation for a 6 week course in the rockies in the summer with the canadian military and cadets. this will make me a certified cadet instructor in canada, but not the UK (bit silly), and then next year, we are doing am ice climbing course in norway (we're coming for you skaara!). so yeah, intensive stuff.

and that video is pretty cool bamul, i actually saw it on youtube a bit ago (I'm one of your subscribers :D ) !

Damn it... listening to parts of the W3 soundtrack I get chills down my spine and shudder a bit. It's so beautiful and already nostalgic, bringing me back to various awesome moments from the game. Really makes me want to launch it up again and maybe even start a second playthrough (done everything there is to do on my current save file), but I think I'll leave it so that it will feel even better when the second expansion comes out. I was getting similar sensations with music from the previous games in the trilogy, especially the first one, but seriously they really nailed the soundtrack with number three. It's like a combination of what was best in both of the previous titles, though clearly taking more inspiration from the first one, yet at the same time has its own unique atmosphere. That perfect Slavic core with some great Celtic, Germanic and even Turkic influences.

Huh, I didn't expect you had finished it already

EDIT: I said earlier that I was working on pimping my car. It's been a while and It's actually been "done" for quite a while now. It never gets done because there's always something more that I want to do. Come summer, I'll paint and mount the white Cupwings I've bought, and I'll also paint the 17" awesome rims (with summer-tyres) in... chrome?

Anyway, I figured it was time to finally post some pictures. Sorry for the bad quality and the difference in photos, I haven't really prioritized it. The things I've visually upgraded are:
Better looking bumpers with "skirts" front and back. Skirts on the sides. Painted the lower part of doors to match with the silver-grey skirts/bumpers.
Painted the hood black, painted the trunk black.
Mounted a larger spoiler on the trunk.
    New grille.
Added TRD (Toyota Racing Development) stickers on the trunk because they make the car go faster (logic).
    Exhaust-tip.
Upgraded from small 14" rims to larger 16" rims. (Summer wheels have 17" rims).
I've also done some interior work like Painting some of the dashboard-parts white so they match the car's main body's paint, gear knob and gear cover, lots of practical "equipment" attached here and there. Next I'm planning to put some better-looking fabric on the inside of the doors. I also want some better-looking seat covers, but all those "universal seat covers" always curl up and don't fit etc.

I have also mounted some kick-ass speakers in/on the hat-shelf under the rear window, and some better speakers in the front doors.
In addition I've also done a lot of mechanical and practical work like changing all liquids and filters, brakes, Timing belt and drive-belt, welded an exhaust-leak etc etc and the list goes on.

Most of my colleagues laugh at me because they of course mean that the original Carina is a nice car, and that I've made it ugly. I kind of have to agree, because it's gotten to a point where it's pretty "Yoyoyo". But well, I'm not even 20 yet so I'm allowed to do it, and I'm having a lot of fun :D

Yeah man, I finished it at the start of September.

And that car doesn't look bad... I mean, I can see what your friends meant, but if I had the money/skill to own a car and mod it myself, I'd probably make it look absolutely trashy and much worse. :p In any case, impressive stuff. I always thought any kind of profession that involves creating or modifying something is worthy of respect and you've put plenty of work into this.

Well that was quickly finished

    Thank you, man :)

I'm looking for a good new keyboard online while "Black Friday" is still up and going, and I stumbled upon this video about a keyboard. It's so extremely exaggerated that you just have to watch it. "Enable the PARTHICA to glow in three breathtaking colors!" with that drumbeat in the background hahahaha

Funny how they made that commercial to make people buy it, yet that commercial is the one thing that made me not buy it

I just read a lot of pages in the first roleplaying thread. It was actually pretty exciting, but oh god how horrible my grammar was (and probably still is) And most of my RP posts were so weird! :p

I've effectively become a comedian and a hipster and an artist (and a very skilled one at that, if I may say so) all at the same time, being the first person to post this joke on the internets:

Not bad either. And it could be used to piss people off whenever they write "steak" instead of "stake".
