It depends. During holiday seasons my internal clock tends to get fucked up a bit, coz I either go out only in the evening to meet up with my mates or I stay in and read something till late - online or a book, sometimes I play games as well or watch movies with others. I have an entirely different schedule (in that I have a schedule at all) when I study or do anything else that requires travelling to the neighbouring city. :p

    Cheers, I appreciate it.

I do know the feeling, a couple of months ago, in the summer holidays, I consistently stayed up until 6 or 7 each morning and then slept until 2.

I don't know if any of you are into modding, but I was thinking, would it be possible to make a metro 2033 mod for stalker? I thought a game with the gameplay and everything of stalker, but set in the metro and post apocalyptic Moscow, would be awesome

Yeah, it should be possible considering how many great mods for Stalker are out there - including almost total conversions/overhauls. However, most of my modding experience is limited to Bethesda games and even so the stuff I made for that wasn't particularly ambitious, so I doubt I could contribute anything worthwhile to a project like that. It would be pretty cool though.

Lemmy - a legend of metal - has passed away today/yesterday. And apparently it was literally a few days after he found out he has cancer. I never got to see Motörhead live and it's a damn shame sine I will probably never see them now. Even if you never liked this band, it would be really ignorant and disrespectful to deny their classic sound - as well as the immense effect they had on the entire metal genre of music and its many subgenres.

Going to Poland at night today/early morning tomorrow - will likely not be able to check the forum or skype often (or at all) until the 13th of January when I get back. See you then.

Well, it's finally done: I cut off my dreadlocks.

After wanting dreadlocks desperately for many many years, I finally started saving long hair to get it. It was quite a trial of patience because it took a long while, and because having long hair is really annoying at the same time. Eventually I went to the hair dresser and paid an insane ammount of money to get long dreadlocks (with extentions dreaded into my real-hair-dreads). Then after two months of being mocked and laughed at, I cut them off again.

It's not because of the fact that I was mocked that I cut them off; I can easily withstand some mocking, I was already used to it as it's mostly half-friendly mocking. It's simply because dreadlocks just don't work for me. My hair is too thin and soft so they became ugly and loose, and then I really don't see the point. In addition it fits very bad with my life-situation, being in a religious community and working as a car mechanic.

In the end I do feel that it was a waste of money, but at the same time I'm kind of glad I did it; at least now, I have tried it, and I know it isn't as glamorous as I expected it to be. This might sound a little creepy, but I have the dreads in a bag and I'm wondering what to do with them. I can't make myself throw them away, but it's just hair..

Burn them on a long boat as it sails out to sea as a sacrifice to the norse gods, then, and only then, will all your wishes come true

That's a shame, does that mean you're just skaara now? No dreads. I can see why they'd be annoying if you're working on cars though. But hey at least you had be it a shot, nothing ventured, nothing gained

I've been Skaara Dreadlocks for several years before I got actual dreadlocks, so I will always be Skaara Dreadlocks :p

4055 be a while since i have posted here :D i am sorry for not being here much been dealing with those horrible IRL problems that always have to happen "what do you mean i cant sit in front of a computer all day?" anyway now that i am a old man (21) i have had to do actual stuff instead of pissin about in Yakuza 5.

Anyway enough of that now they fixed the cable that broke in September i can now get speeds of more than 20kbs down and 10kbs up so that's good its good to be back so prepare for more straight up thread derailing and actual bullshit anyway since every time my internet is fixed they manage to sever the wire if i dont respond for a while assume i have lost internet, again :D

Yo, Cheese. I've always wanted to participate in a community mod. Even it comes out as utter-crap, I know we would have fun making it :). I've never touched stalker modding tools; so I really have no idea on the difficulty of the task we would be taking upon ourselves. As a suggestion for mod making, I say that the Doom II modding community is really awesome and flexible. I've used the modding tools just to practice and makes some rooms/textures. It is definitely the easiest engine that I've ever tried messing with. I know the graphics suck-ass compared to stalker; but, whatever you would like to decide on, I would like to jump on the boat and contribute.

Nooooo! I really don't keep up with the news on bands from yesteryear (not because I don't like the music, I love it, but because there's hardly any news of them in today's world), but this really sucks. I know Motörhead has come through my area a couple of times; but I was told by my parents that I was "too young" at the time to go watch them in concert. Whatevers . Damn, well another rock legend gone.

Potarto, introduced me to this band, called Airbourne sometime last year. In the video he showed me, Lemmy makes an appearance as the driver in the get-away truck.

Sorry to hear about you hair, again, Skaara. If I ever found a genie in a bottle, one of my wishes would be for you to have any type of dreadlocks that you want.

Aw, that sucks to hear man. But I'm glad you've got it back at least. :D

Just about three years ago, I went on what we in Norway call Slalom, I dunno what it's called in English. Maybe it is Slalom? Anyway, it's zig-zag skiing downhill at a ski center with tracks and elevators and everything. I absolutely loved it, and was certain I would do it again. Two winters passed and I just couldn't get myself around to go and actually do it. In the end of 2015, there was almost no snow, and several +degrees outside. Now in January, though, a shock of cold has hit Norway and it's been as cold as -12 degrees where I live. It has snowed quite a lot, and so I have decided: this year, I'm finally gonna go slalom again.

I've been determined to not buy slalom-equippment because it is really expensive with the huge boots and the skiis and all, so I thought I would just rent it like last time. I'll have to rent equippment very many times to use the money that I otherwise would have used on buying the equippment, and I don't go slalom that often in the first place. But still, renting isn't cheap, so as long as I rent the equippment, I shouldn't go slaloming more than once a year, maybe twice. But today I mentioned it to my uncle, and he had some "old" gear laying around that he wasn't using.

One pair of three year old expensive boots barely used that he technically gave me for free, but I gave him a third of the original price anyway, because he also gave me a pair of "carving" skiis. They're a bit old, but they're not worn at all and they were expensive, and they fit the boots of course. But they're been standing around for a while so the under-side has kind of dried out, and the metal edges have rusted. I'm gonna take em to a sports-dealer tomorrow to get them prepped and then I'm good to go. Already invited a whole bunch of friends, really looking forward to it :D

EDIT: Thanks, Nuclear. Now I hope you find a genie in a bottle :D

Kick-ass boots. I don't know the name of the sport either. I always just refereed to it as skiing. However, just by looking up the word "Slalom," it looks as if that is the way it is also in the English language. :noidea:. Anyway, slaloming (?) down the mountain seems exciting. It is one of the events that I've always enjoyed watching during the Winter Olympics.

Just remember to have some ecstatic, 80's-television-action-hero music playing, as you speed down the mountain, and come to a sliding stop as you near the bottom of the trail only to spray onlookers, in utter amazement, with snow.

Then, as a little boy from the crowd pushes his way to the front to meet his new-found hero and asks, "Mr! By golly! Who....Who are you?"

All you need to do is stand bold, look off into the distance, slowly lift your reflective goggles, and turn you head slightly to his general direction and say " I am....Skaara Dreadlocks! Master of the slopes. Conqueror of the frightful snow!" And with that, take off into the sunset, only to become a modern legend of Norse Mythology.

Oh man, it is great to be back. I had a good few chuckles reading through what I missed - you guys are awesome. ;)

Not that I didn't enjoy my holiday, it was pretty cool. First part was really damn cold; at one point we had -15 °C in Warsaw! Then we got a bit of snow, but the weather started warming up by the time I was leaving. I did the usual: met up with friends and family, went to see some of the places I love in my hometown, fired some guns (tried the Mosin Nagant this time - that thing really kicks, it's no joke). Outside of the usual: I met a girl and we might try a so-called "long-distance relationship", although I doubt it will work. Most people break up after one of them moves to a different town, let alone another country.
