Funny thing is, I was half drunk when I wrote this

First Arnold, and now him.... this can't be a coincidence. :spy:

Story of my life, man. You should be glad you live in England and not Norway; it's the worst of the worst. The taxes on alcohol in general, and especially beer, is depressing.

Oh yeah, I heard about some of the restrictions they have in Finland, so I'm not that surprised to learn that Norway is a similar case. In fact, I think Britain's laws and taxes on alcohol may actually be inspired by that of the Nordic countries. I know that really it's kind of a positive thing since it was created with battling alcoholism in mind, but I'm not sure if it really works and obviously it's a pain in the ass when you just want to go for a few drinks with some friends. :p

Oh my. I didn't see the connection myself. You're right, something strange is happening; but what? I must begin investigating before this shit gets out of hand.

Is it so depressing that it makes you feel like grabbing a beer and washing your sorrows away? :p That's how they get you, my friend ;)

    ------------------

over here, in Texas, alcohol is taxed at 8.25% for the final cost of all your drinks. However, the tax rate is a general fee that applies to basically anything one might buy. The only thing that is exempt is produce -ie. vegetables, grains, bread, etc- from a grocery store. Also, there are a few regions, across the United States, that are considered a "dry county;" in other words, it is illegal to purchase or sell alcohol in that area. I believe it is still legal to consume liquor, in a "dry county," however, one would need to travel to the nearest city or town, to purchase the alcohol, and take it back home.

Edit: Bamul: The band "Ghost" is coming to my town in a week. Just thought you should know. I'm contemplating if I should go watch them; but whether I could get friends to come along with me will be decision point (I don't want to be a loner at a concert). So far, I haven't had any that seem like they want to go :pout:

Double Edit; just noticed that the forum is back to normal.

If you hear a rattling-like noise... run. Maybe cover yourself in some mud.

Their plot has been revealed  It's an evil circle!

Huh, I didn't even notice it until you mentioned it now. Perhaps Harley is spying on us after all, and realized it wasn't a good idea to change the forum layout like that

Yeah, it's good to see the proper layout return.

Nuclear, you really should see them, they usually have great gigs thanks to the atmosphere they create. Still, I understand why you wouldn't want to go alone - it is much less fun. I hope one of your mates decides they want to go in the end.

Yes, I do hope so! :) I was watching some concert videos and the props and costumes are just so cool.

Dang, guys. I just realized something. I've been on this forum for 3 years. But that's nothing. Shit, Skaara and Bamul, you've both been here for almost 5 years. That's insane. I mean, wow. I applaud you both as well as the rest of the members who stuck around for all these years. I really doesn't feel like it's been that long. :grouphug:

    Congratulations and thanks! :D
I was about to start typing "Yes it really doesn't feel that long", but when I come to think of it, it actually does. :twitch:
Thinking back at the countless ammount of posts I've posted before. The type of posts that I don't post these days; like Roleplay posts, for starters, and then all my posts in the heavy discussions, especially the religion-thread. That was quite a while ago, and it feels like it has been so too. Thinking of all the posts I've written here, I feel dang old. And thinking back to where I was in my life (real life) when I was sixteen makes me think "holy crap I've been on this forum for half my goddang life!" (although I haven't).

    1: Congrats! :D
2: How in the world can you have 21,000 books?! :twitch:
3: Maybe it's about time for you to do a PC cleanup..?

We know, Stalker. You are our Guardian Angel

Thanks, and back at ya! :D

You know, I was just reminiscing about this last-night. I began skimming through some old threads.....You know, way-back. Man, those were the times! That's nostalgia right there. As I was reading, I noticed that a large chunk of the posts were made when I was barely starting out as a baby, here on the forum. I know, for a fact, that I didn't know how to work a forum, at that time (since this forum happens to be the first forum I joined)...And, well, I just never posted in those threads :p. One of the reasons was due to the fact that I didn't want to stick my opinions, in a heated thread, because I imagined myself getting annihilated and banned from the forum  I thought everyone here was an old-fart and I was the only young one. The other reason was because, like I mentioned earlier, I didn't know the mechanics of a forum. I would just click random topics and read them, not knowing if they were current or from months past.

Best group of people exist here on this forum.

This was also my first forum, now i mostly visit Historium (Which i am banned from atm) and thats about it really.

@Skaara I read loads of history books and the such so that makes up a straight three quarters of it not to mention all the odd series i get into (Discworld) and end up getting all the books

My solution to my pc is to just keep buying new hard drives when they fill up it works amazing ya know

Anyway this forum represents to me 3 or 4 bans strange appearances by celebrities fun multiplayer sessions on Fallout Online heated debates, and the spam war

    NERD! :p

I believe those celebrity visits were a clever act done by TheDarknessEnvelops. And hell yeah, T-Aaron, those Fallout sessions were a blast (can't forget about Potarto). I know we swept across the wasteland, like an Australian dust storm, and the name of "THE POTATO SQUAD" was a common designation spoken among the strong and weak players of the game. We dug deep and were uncovering something big. Shit began hitting the fan and it was an all-out-war between us and.....Them o_O We were appointed million-dollar-bounties, on our heads, and were occasionally face-to-face, with death, in the form of a worm.

    Hey! :D 4179

The other day, when I was getting food at my school's cafeteria, I was listening in on somebody else's conversation. It was being spoken in Spanish and it had to do with a person, whom they know, that got in a car accident. They said:

"Pegaron la curba con su carro."

It translates to "they hit the curb with the car." However, the word "curba" (curb) is pronounced very similar to how "kurwa" is pronounced in Polish. When I initially heard this, I had thought that the person had said that "they hit a kurwa (whore) with their car."
