Yeah, just 759 posts to go! Glad to see you on the forum again, Komo. :)

Yeah, that could help as she may already have your email saved in her contacts and so there's no chance of it getting placed in her spam folder.

And the bottom of the forum is back as well, yes? I could see it when I was logged out as well as logged in, so I assume it's fixed for everyone as well?

    EDIT:
GRRRRRR, I've been waiting for two years for Breaking Benjamin to come back, and when they finally do, they only host concerts in the US.
Now I've waited many months for them to start touring in Europe, and when they finally do, they announce the date for my closest option, Sweden (Not Norway of course..), only a month's time ahead of the concert. I've got huge plans this summer, and when the concert is being held on the 20th of June, I'll be far north in Norway, climbing mountains and glaciers. Kinda sucks, 'cause they're playing four times in Germany, but none in Norway or Denmark for that matter. I don't doubt they'll do another Europe tour again sometime, but it'd probably be next year. I probably won't miss my chance, but it sucks that I have to wait so long until next time

Nope, the bottom section is still gone for me. And sorry to hear about the gig, but like you said - there will mostly likely be another chance, especially since they are pretty well-known and should have the resources for another tour pretty soon. I wish Mister X (a Belarusian street punk group who are one of my favourite bands) would have an easier time doing tours. They most often go on gigs around Eastern Europe - though they have played in Germany before, but getting anywhere out of Belarus is a pain in the ass for them due to the strict border regulations. Their vocalist is of Polish origin, so for him it is pretty easy to get access to Poland thanks to that (if you live in former USSR and have Polish roots, you can get this document called "Karta Polaka" that gives you easier access to Poland), but all the other band members need to apply for visas each time they leave the country. It doesn't help their case that they resist the totalitarian government in Belarus and criticise it. :p

On the bright side, another band I like - Sabaton - will be playing in the UK just at the start of 2017. The closest place that will host one of their gigs is a few hours coach ride away from here, but I don't wanna pass this chance so I'll endure the trip. I'm kinda used to that when visiting Poland and having to get a bus halfway through the country to get to an airport that has the connections and affordable prices heh.

Nooooo, Skaara :( That sucks, man. There's always a chance for them to make a quick pit-stop, though. One of my favorite bands, AC/DC, did just that several years back. They hadn't played in my town, for over 20 years, and we weren't even on their roster for a scheduled concert. A miracle happened and they squeezed us in into their schedule. Don't loose hope and I wish they'll find the time to go to Norway.

    ---------------
Guys, sorry for not being on here for about a week. My computer ate shit (I think it's the motherboard) and now it's not working. I'm using a computer, at the library, and they don't provide me with much time to be on it. I'll try to stop by a couple day, out of the week, to make some posts. There is some light to this, though. Since my motherboard is dead, I've been thinking that it will be rather "pointless" to purchase a new one since I'm planning to upgrade everything to windows 8, or something, in the near future.

Huh, I didn't know it was that strict to leave the country in Belarussia. That kinda sucks.
And PC problems are the worst, imo  I hope you'll get your PC fixed soon, or a new one, so you can return to your rightful place to be :)

Over to some good news though! The Medieval Festival is back, as a year has finally passed! It's actually starting today, in five hours from now :)
This might sound weird, but remember those dreadlocks I had for two months and then cut off? Well, I kept them for some reason  All the while since I cut them off, I've been saying "Darn, too bad I can't have them on the medieval festival, that would be perfect!".

Since then, my hair has grown out a little bit so I shaved it very short on the sides with a back-comb on the top, kinda like in this picture but without the ponytail:
-In inspiration from the TV series called "Vikings". But then I thought that I really wanted it like Ragnar had in the first seasons (to the left):

So, yesterday my friend and I used six hours to braid my short hair in over twenty short braids, then glued and sew the dreadlocks tightly onto my braids  It might sound weird, but it actually looks very good, to my surprise. I'm really excited; The markets, the shows, the activities, the huge tent with dinner, music, dancing, lots of lots of mead... and all with a full medieval tone to it. The whole atmosphere is just amazing :D

Sucks to hear that Nuclear. I guess if there's anything good about this, it's that you finally have a good reason to get a more modern PC that will be able to run more games. :) I hope you get all the money you need for it.

And Skaara that sounds awesome. Remember to share with us some photos from the festival like you did last time. :D

EDIT: The bottom bit of the forum finally appears for me, so I think Harley may have gotten your email and fixed it. Cheers Harley, if you're reading this.

Yes. The same day I sent the email, she replied and fixed it. Apparently she or someone else wanted the "Who's Online" section to be visible only for logged-in members and not for guests, and it ended up removing it for us too.

I was so caught up in the whole festival that I forgot to film or take photos most of the time, but I got a few, I'll post them in the same thread as last year, once they're done uploading :)

I see, that's actually a good idea and I'm glad to see that it works as intended now. However, I honestly wish that Harley would tell us about these things - there's a reason we have the "Staff Discussion" section on the forum. I really don't care anymore that she basically ignores this website and its community, even though she should show at least some interest as its main admin (like if she still the owner and did not have a public admin account here, then I wouldn't care either because she would at least be honest about not giving a fuck from the get-go). But not even telling its moderators about techincal changes that affect the way it functions? That's just unprofessional and inefficient, as shown exactly in this case - she could have posted about this change in the staff category and asked us to test it, we would find the flaw and it would get fixed the next time she checked in. Instead, she does it secretively just like almost everything else and as a result the problem stays for weeks. I honestly don't understand the reasoning behind that.

Yeah, I can imagine, I usually don't like doing a lot of filming during gigs/events too because it stops you from fully taking part and experiencing them. Thanks for what you did post though, I left a comment in the thread about it.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind getting a heads-up when she makes changes, either.

This is nicely made :D Kinda reminds me of Deadpool :p Let me guess, it's made in Garry's Mod with that uh... video-program... I don't remember what it's called. The one everyone who makes TF2 animations use.

I'm not sure, might be Source Filmmaker or something, but I could be wrong. I'm really glad Nuclear showed this guy's channel to us though. Here's another recent video:

Just letting yous know that from tomorrow until late at night on the 20th of June (within European time zones of course) I will be unable to check the forum and delete any spambots, as I'm taking a British friend to Poland for a week.

Yes, exactly what I was thinking of! Funny video of that car, btw, I laughed at the three stripes :D
    4258

I googled around a bit about VR headsets and read this, it made me laugh
So, with things progressing more and more in the direction of me getting a full medieval body-armor in springsteel, which costs a whole ton of money, I've kind of developed the wish to use a Samurai armor on the battlefield, 'cause I like to stand out, and Samurai armors are awesome ofc. Only problem is that the few samurai armors that do exist, that are in fact actually made of steel, costs even more than regular steel armor.

Because of this, I've grown a small wish to actually make some samurai steel armor of my own. I'll probably never do it, but it's an interesting concept because it could actually be doable, even for someone as unprofessional as me. It's made up with a rather simple design; curved plates here and there attached to each other with some sort of very strong rope/string. Imagine if I bought a full gambeson, a heap of large metal plates and thick strong leather strings/ropes. With a lot of planning, patience, time, work etc it could turn out really well with a few tools. I'm not sure how I'd actually curve the metal plates, though. :noidea:

EDIT: I could make it out of aluminum, that would make the whole costume much lighter and much easier to make, but it would then indeed just be a costume and not functional armor.. :p

That red one is the absolutely most iconic samurai armor, if not the traditional one. Probably because of The Last Samurai :p It's the one I'd want to make.
