    Well you said XCVIII before me, right? After VIII it cannot be VV or VIIII, so it should be IIX (2-10=8), thereby I think it's XCIIX.

    That may be but as von streff posted earlier in this thread its VIII then IX then X so if that order is incorect blame Von Streff :D

    Ah well roman numerals aint so good for mathematical reasons. Apparently that's why they couldn't make normal valves (churches, gates, doorways etc.), so they took it from the greeks, who used "proper" math xD

    Yeah, can you imagine multiplying with Roman numerals, much less algebra or trig? But the Romans did make the massive dome in the Pantheon (now the church of All Martyrs, in Rome?) Maybe that was a fluke. :)
