Cutscenes for me just enhance the whole game. Of course the game has to have a lot of gameplay value and a good story, and should not be comprised solely of cutscenes, but well done ones at key moments greatly enhance the experience.
Cutscenes to help the story along could be a very nice touch. However, I find that some games have way too many cutscenes for almost every little thing and that drives me crazy. For example, finishing moves for some games make me frustrated, since it breaks the momentum of my train of thought.
If the cutscenes are well made and contribute a lot to the story or lore of the game then I don't mind it being long. I don't like cheesy cutscenes though I want something that dwells within the main lore of the game.
